Trump lauded for heartwarming interactions with kids at Easter Egg Roll after years of Biden's gaffes

WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump brought his A-game to the White House Easter Egg Roll.

The president wasn’t just handing out eggs — he was dishing out jokes, high-fives, and more than a few digs at Joe Biden — all while basking in the glow of kids who couldn’t get enough of him.

With the Easter Bunny making its usual rounds, Trump stole the show as he high-fived pint-sized fans and even got artsy with them. At one point, the 78-year-old Trump shouted with childlike glee: "I'm really into this!"

Trump vs Biden: The Easter Bunny Chronicles

Of course, Trump couldn’t resist taking a jab at his predecessor.

Earlier in the day, he mocked Biden’s infamous Easter Bunny intervention at the 2022 egg roll—a moment that went viral for all the wrong reasons when Biden began rambling about Afghanistan and had to be rescued by none other than the Easter Bunny (aka Meghan Hays, a former White House press aide in costume).

Trump brought it back with a grin as he asked the crowd, "Remember when the Easter bunny took out Joe Biden?" He then quipped, "He's not going to be taking Trump out!"

First lady Melania Trump — who made her first public appearance in weeks and looked flawless in a beige trench coat — was right there beside him, laughing at the zinger.

Social media fawns over Trump

Social media went wild for the Trump Easter glow-up, with many drawing not-so-subtle comparisons to Biden’s awkward history with children.

"A president who doesn’t sniff kids, finally!" one remarked on X (formerly Twitter).

"If nothing else, we have a POTUS you can trust around kids, and that’s a major improvement," another pointed out.

"The kids ran toward him like he was Santa, Superman, and recess all rolled into one. That’s what leadership with presence looks like," a third user insisted.

"I like this second term Donald Trump: he’s so warm and loving," a comment read.

"He’s in touch with his inner child. It’s amazing how he can relate to so many different people," someone else gushed.

"You know that Democrats will now criticize President Trump for saying he wanted a white crayon," another quipped.

Flashbacks of Joe Biden’s awkward kid moments

From eyebrow-raising comments to some rather bizarre antics, Biden has had a few moments. Back in October—just weeks before the election—Biden shocked attendees at a Halloween event by biting a baby’s leg.

During that same event, he also appeared to press his mouth to a baby’s arm and even popped two other babies’ feet into his mouth. Not exactly the photo ops you’d want for a re-election flyer.

This was barely the first time Biden raised eyebrows over his interactions with minors. At a 2020 Florida event, Biden told underage dancers, "I'm coming back and I want to see these beautiful young ladies, I want to see them dancing when they are four years older too!"

Then there was his 2019 gaffe with a 10-year-old girl: "I'll bet you're as bright as you are good-looking."

It's worth noting that photos of Biden getting a little too close around young girls and women have popped up again and again over the years, the Daily Mail reported.
