WASHINGTON, D.C.: With the position of Attorney General now open following the firing of Pam Bondi, many Trump loyalists and influencers are urging the President  to appoint election conspiracy theorist Harmeet Dhillon, who also serves as Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights.

Bondi was terminated on April 2 for multiple reasons that have reportedly left the president frustrated.

Trump appoints Todd Blanche as interim AG

In a social media statement, Trump said, “We love Pam, and she will be transitioning to a much-needed and important new job in the private sector, to be announced at a date in the near future.”

“Our Deputy Attorney General, and a very talented and respected Legal Mind, Todd Blanche, will step in to serve as Acting Attorney General,” he added.

There has been speculation that Blanche will get the permanent position. Another strong contender is Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin.

Trump loyalists believe Dhillon would be an 'exceptional' AG

But as per conservative activist Scott Presler, “Harmeet Dhillon would be an exceptional Attorney General. She’s an excellent communicator, transparent, & has been at the forefront of election integrity — suing states for their voter rolls to ensure that only American citizens can vote.”

Tim Clark, a former senior executive in the Trump White House, shared on X, “Harmeet Dhillon would make an excellent Attorney General. She would bring the scales of justice, big time!”

“She was filing civil rights lawsuits on behalf of Trump supporters who were attacked by ANTIFA. In 2016. Who was around in 2016? It was almost impossible to find someone to handle these cases. Harmeet did. That's real OG status,” Conservative influencer Mike Cernovich posted, supporting Dhillon.

One comment on X read, “Agreed. I had suggested she be Bondi’s success several weeks ago. Harmeet is the real deal. She’s a Patriot, a bull dog,  and abundantly qualified. She’s run several successful legal/charitable organizations at scale.”

Meanwhile, following her firing, Bondi said on X that after handing over work to Blanche, she will shift “to an important private sector role I am thrilled about, and where I will continue fighting for President Trump and this Administration.”

“Leading President Trump’s historic and highly successful efforts to make America safer and more secure has been the honor of a lifetime, and easily the most consequential first year of the Department of Justice in American history,” she added, before asserting, “I remain eternally grateful for the trust that President Trump placed in me to Make America Safe Again.”
