WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump took a jab at Democratic Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Tuesday, October 21, over her "my door is always open" remark to Republicans, saying she "doesn’t know what the hell she’s talking about."

In early October, AOC appeared on MSNBC to discuss the government shutdown and told Republicans, "My office is open, and you are free to walk in and negotiate with me directly."

Trump says 'Who the hell wants to go in her door anyway?'

During a White House speech, President Donald Trump said, "We are the hottest country anywhere in the world. Which tells you about leadership, which includes your leadership."

"AOC. How about her? She said 'my door is always open', but she is not the leader! I'm sure the leaders felt nicely about that. Who the hell wants to go in her door anyway? She doesn’t know what the hell she’s talking about," the POTUS added.

Trump continued, "I remember, I will never forget, she never took a course on environment, and I watched her one day, and she was on television saying, 'our planet will be dead within 12 years.' That was long time ago."

"These people, they've got an agenda that nobody quite understands. The good news is they don't understand it either. They really have no idea. But the people do," the president concluded.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Trump has trolled AOC for her "my door is always open" statement.

On October 9, the POTUS said at the White House, "The problem is we really don't know who the hell is leading the Democrats. You have this AOC. I don't know her at all. She said, 'If they want, they can come to my office'. That's not leadership. The only challenger was Nancy Pelosi. Nancy is not looking too good. I don't know what happened to Nancy."

Meanwhile, AOC shared the clip on X and wrote, "If he doesn’t know me at all maybe that’s another reason to come to my office!" along with a smiley emoji.

AOC's 'my door is always open' remark to Republicans

In September, before the government shutdown took place, some Republicans pushed a narrative that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was the architect of the shutdown.

Meanwhile, AOC said during a segment on MSNBC, "This is so not about me in this moment. This is about people being able to insure their children. And I will say, because I saw some senators speculating about this, and I saw some Republican members of Congress saying, 'Oh, well, if we have this shutdown, it's because of AOC.'"

"Well, if that's the case, my office is open and you are free to walk in and negotiate with me directly, because what I'm not going to do is tolerate 4 million uninsured Americans, because Donald Trump decided one day that he wants to just make sure that kids are dying because they don't have access to insurance. That's what's not going to happen," the Democratic Rep added.

She further mentioned, "And so if those senators think that we're having a shutdown because of me, they're free to enter my office and negotiate, because what we're not going to do is allow all of millions of people in this country to not be able to afford their insulin and their chemotherapy."
