WASHINGTON, DC: Critics took President Donald Trump to the cleaners on Tuesday night, November 4, after he posted a series of Truth Social posts as Democrats mopped the floor with Republicans in elections across the country.

As the bad news for the GOP started rolling in, Trump appeared to try to distance himself from the mess while also tossing Republicans under the bus over the government shutdown.

Trump goes on Truth Social rampage following election losses

He kicked things off by quoting unnamed “pollsters."

“‘TRUMP WASN’T ON THE BALLOT, AND SHUTDOWN, WERE THE TWO REASONS THAT REPUBLICANS LOST ELECTIONS TONIGHT,’ according to Pollsters," he wrote on Truth Social.

He then pivoted to bragging about TV ratings, “JUST OUT: The 60 Minutes interview of Donald J. Trump, on CBS, Sunday night, was the highest rated 60 Minutes IN YEARS!”

Next, Trump demanded Senate Republicans ditch the filibuster to push through whatever legislation they could while they still held the upper hand. “REPUBLICANS, TERMINATE THE FILIBUSTER! GET BACK TO PASSING LEGISLATION AND VOTER REFORM! President DJT," he declared.

“Pass Voter Reform, Voter ID, No Mail-In Ballots. Save our Supreme Court from ‘Packing,’ No Two State addition, etc. TERMINATE THE FILIBUSTER!!!” he later added.

The president concluded the barrage of posts with a cryptic four-word message, “…AND SO IT BEGINS!”

Critics clap back on social media

Trump's critics on social media pounced on his posts, saying he was “panicked" over the string of GOP losses.

"The idea that his absence from the ballot somehow excuses Republican losses is laughable; it’s his toxic influence, corrupt policies, and the chaos of the shutdown he helped fuel that voters rejected tonight," one posted on X.

"Donald Trump is so panicked over tonight’s election results he wants Republicans to help him rig the midterms," another alleged.

"Yep. There were only two reasons they lost tonight. Not the economy sh***ing the bed or sending the National Guard into our cities or kidnapping people off the streets or the Epstein Files or murdering foreign nationals. I’m sure none of that had anything to do with tonight," someone else snarked.

"He's crying about losses while twisting reality. He wasn’t on the ballot? Doesn’t change that voters rejected him and his chaos. Loser behavior, as always," a comment read.

"I love how he just casually throws his own party under the bus to make it clear that they only lost elections because his name wasn't on the ballot," another added.

Trump targets Zohran Mamdani, backs Andrew Cuomo

In the days before the election, Trump had already been throwing punches at democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani, whom he repeatedly labeled a “Communist lunatic” and a “disaster waiting to happen.”

He even warned that a Mamdani victory could cost New York federal dollars. “It's gonna be hard for me as the president to give a lot of money to New York. Because if you have a communist running New York, all you're doing is wasting the money you're sending there," Trump recently told '60 Minutes.'

At the eleventh hour, Trump even urged voters to back former Governor Andrew Cuomo (who was running as an independent) just to block Mamdani’s win.
