Trump says he'll pay to install twin 100-ft flagpoles at WH as it was needed since ‘200 years’

WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump has announced plans to install two towering American flag poles on the White House grounds, calling them “beautiful” and long overdue.
During an unannounced visit to the North Lawn on Wednesday, April 23, Trump shared his vision for the nearly 100-foot structures, one on each side of the iconic property, reports USA Today.

Trump unveils plans for twin flag poles at White House
“They’ve needed flag poles for 200 years,” Trump told reporters, standing near the site where one will be erected.
“I've often said, you know, they don't have a flag pole, per se. So we're putting one right where you saw us, and we're putting another one on the other side, on top of the mounds. It's going to be two beautiful poles.” He also emphasized that the project would be “paid for by Trump,” though he did not clarify whether that meant campaign funds or personal finances.

This isn’t the only makeover Trump has initiated since returning to the capital. Inside the White House, the décor has seen noticeable changes, including bold gold trim adorning portrait frames and furniture in the Oval Office. Two new portraits of Trump have also been added to the building’s walls—one replacing a Barack Obama portrait that was relocated, and another positioned between images of Hillary Clinton and Laura Bush.

Just weeks after revealing plans to remove one of the iconic magnolia trees planted by President Andrew Jackson nearly two centuries ago, Trump is making headlines again this time for a new flagpole project.
Trump planted a new magnolia sapling on the South Lawn, playfully naming it the “MAGAnolia". He said the original tree, though rich in history, had become a safety hazard and needed to be replaced.

Others kept it simple, “Best President ever,” one wrote, while another commented, “President Trump is one in a million – T/GOAT.”
But not everyone was impressed by the flagpole fanfare. One user mocked, “Ohh, flag poles. That will fix everything. Yay.”
Another jabbed, “They've already ruined the Rose Garden and the Oval Office – let's see if they can ruin the front lawn now.”
