Trump Laments UN inaction for the Thailand-Cambodia border Crisis

President Donald Trump successfully presided over the signing of a ceasefire pact between Thailand and Cambodia, bringing an end to the long-standing conflict between the two nations. Reflecting on the achievement, President Trump expressed regret that established world institutions like the United Nations had shown little proactive engagement.

He voiced his disappointment, noting that the UN, an organization designed for such interventions, "didn't get involved" in resolving the crisis. He stated, “The United Nations should be doing this, but they don’t do it. They don’t do it. They turned off my teleprompter. When I made a speech, I had to make a speech without a teleprompter. They’re good at that. The escalator wasn’t working too well. It came to a complete halt.”

Trump continued, “But, I mean, the United Nations has such great potential. I wish they could do it. They didn’t get involved with us at all. We just did the deal and reported the deal, and everybody was sort of amazed that we got it done so quickly and so nicely.”

Trump boosts Canada tariffs, defends ‘America First’ policy

President Donald Trump’s drive for American greatness continued through a busy week marked by decisive action on global trade. On Saturday, October 25, he announced a 10% increase in tariffs against Canada, a move he said reflected his commitment to fair trade and the protection of American jobs.

The decision came after the Government of Ontario aired what Trump described as a false television commercial. The ad featured an edited clip of the late President Ronald Reagan, deceptively implying that tariffs “hurt every American worker and consumer.” Trump quickly called out the manipulation, labeling the commercial “fraudulent” and declaring that Canada had been “caught, red handed” for editing Reagan’s 1987 speech.

Trump’s swift response was seen as a firm defense of American workers and producers, reinforcing his hallmark “America First” policy.
