Trump shows off his toy Marine One during Bill O’Reilly’s White House visit
WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump has always had a flair for dramatic visual displays, but his latest Oval Office moment might be one of his most whimsical yet.
During a visit from conservative commentator Bill O’Reilly on Wednesday, the 79-year-old president was photographed with a toy-sized Marine One perched on the historic Resolute Desk, right beside detailed miniatures of his ongoing White House redesign plans.
Donald Trump delights in toy Marine One while unveiling new White House miniatures
According to photos shared by Bill O’Reilly, Trump proudly showed off a dollhouse-style replica of the White House, complete with its own tiny Marine One helicopter similar to the real one that ferries him around Washington.
The miniature sat front and center on the Resolute Desk as Trump held up a series of design mock-ups illustrating what the “new” White House will look like once his $350 million ballroom is complete.
“It was magnificent,” O’Reilly said on his “No Spin News” program, adding, “I’ve never seen the White House in better shape.” O’Reilly described the ongoing construction as “hardly noticeable,” and said Trump eagerly walked him through various iterations of the revamped presidential residence.
The 76-year-old broadcaster said, “I’ve been going to the White House for 25 years. He’s made it into a symbol of grandeur.”
Trump’s second term has indeed taken on a noticeable aesthetic mission, one that has included gilding the Oval Office, paving over parts of the Rose Garden and adding large decorative signs labeling rooms across the West Wing.

While the miniatures stole the spotlight, Trump also used the 40-minute visit to discuss several issues, including a potential Russia-Ukraine ceasefire and his controversial pardon of former Honduran president Juan Orlando Hernández.
The meeting was described as friendly but wide-ranging, with O’Reilly hinting that Trump sees his renovation projects as part of a broader legacy mission.

The Resolute Desk, where Trump displayed his toy Marine One, has its own storied history. Built from the timbers of the British ship HMS Resolute and gifted by Queen Victoria in 1880, the 145-year-old desk was recently removed for light refinishing. That restoration happened not long after Elon Musk’s son, X Æ A-Xii, was seen wiping his nose on it, an incident that briefly went viral.
Trump’s fascination with miniatures continues as he pushes bold, expensive monuments
This isn’t the first time Trump has used miniatures to pitch his ideas. In October, he unveiled a scale model of a massive triumphal arch he intends to build in Washington, DC, near Arlington National Cemetery. The planned monument, estimated at $100 million, is meant to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.
“There’s a small arch. A middle arch. A large arch,” one source said. “And he likes the large one, of course, as long as it’s big and gold and white.”
