DALLAS, TEXAS: Former President Donald Trump's recent remarks claiming he is a "better physical specimen" than Barack Obama have sparked a firestorm of backlash and ridicule across social media platforms, as per The Raw Story.

During a speech at the National Rifle Association's annual meeting in Dallas, on Saturday, May 18, Trump recounted an alleged exchange with his former White House doctor, Dr Ronny Jackson, in which the physician declared Trump to be in far superior physical condition compared to his predecessor.

In his recent NRA speech, Trump mentioned his former White House doctor, Dr Jackson, and recounted an incident where he was allegedly praised for being a "better physical specimen" than Obama.

"They asked him who is a better physical specimen, is it Donald Trump, or is it Obama? He said it is not even close, Donald Trump, not even close, I said I love this guy. Dr Ronny Jackson," Trump claimed.

During his presidency, Obama’s dedication to fitness was widely recognized. According to ABC News, he could often be seen emerging from his daily gym workouts in his signature black White Sox cap and white Asics sneakers. Obama regularly combined cardio with strength training, a regimen he maintained even during visits to local gyms.

William Nelson, assistant manager at the Philadelphia Sports Club in Franklintown, Pennsylvania, recounted seeing Obama at the gym: "He always does cardio, usually the treadmill first for 20 to 30 minutes and then elliptical for the same amount of time."

Nelson noted that Obama appeared lean and muscular, saying, "I didn’t see an ounce of fat on him. He’s lean and he looked like he’s in great shape."

Nelson also recalled Obama’s high stamina, stating, "For a thin guy, he’s muscular in the chest. He’s never out of breath and the amount of work he does for a man his age, he is above average."

In stark contrast, Trump’s lifestyle choices have been well-documented and widely criticized. As reported by CNN, Trump prefers fast food and is known for his disdain for exercise.

The book 'Trump Revealed' sheds light on Trump’s views on physical activity, stating, "After college, after Trump mostly gave up his personal athletic interests, he came to view time spent playing sports as time wasted. Trump believed the human body was like a battery, with a finite amount of energy, which exercise only depleted. So he didn’t work out."
