BRONX, NEW YORK CITY: On Thursday, May 23, former president Donald Trump held a campaign rally in The Bronx, where he addressed the most pertinent question on the minds of his ever-ardent supporters, which is, why he bothers to leave the house in the morning.

The 77-year-old MAGA figurehead is involved in the ongoing hush money criminal trial in neighboring Manhattan, where he is charged with 34 felony counts related to falsifying business records to hide hush money payments, according to Mediaite.

Prosecutors allege that Donald Trump paid three individuals in order to silence them from going public about their extramarital affairs with him.

This was carried out in the lead-up to the 2016 general election to avoid negative impacts on his budding presidential campaign.

The former commander-in-chief has pleaded not guilty to all charges and denies the affairs. Additionally, he is under criminal indictment in three other jurisdictions.

What did Donald Trump say during his Bronx rally?

The presumptive 2024 Republican presidential nominee staged a rally in the South Bronx, mostly, rehashing his incendiary rhetoric, even though he had previously lost the Empire State by substantial margins in 2016 and 2020.

Trump remarked that he is regularly asked about his personal hardships, pain, and suffering.

“Some of the greatest days of my business career were in the toughest times, but I enjoyed waking up every single morning and go to battle,” the former POTUS told the gathering.

Trump continued, “A lot of people say to me today – the toughest business people, people that you know about – ‘Could I ask you a question? How do you do it?’”

“I say, ‘Do what?’” he added. “‘How do you get up in the morning and put your pants on? Why do you put the pants on?’”

“I’ll explain it to you someday. ‘How do you do it? How do you get up? How do you do it?'” the real estate magnate said.

Then, Donald Trump took to attacking his political adversary President Joe Biden, and angrily denounced his two impeachments and multiple lawsuits.

“And they’re doing it to injure the political opponent of an incompetent candidate because he can’t run fairly and squarely,” he alleged about the 81-year-old incumbent president. “And I say, ‘You know what I do? I just do it. I put on the blinders. I say I just do it. We just do it.'”
