Trump's 'Hollywood ambassador' Jon Voight blasts 'fool' Gavin Newsom for attacking POTUS over LA protests

WASHINGTON, DC: "Special Ambassador to Hollywood" Jon Voight called out California Governor Gavin Newsom for trying to blame President Donald Trump for the ongoing anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles.
On Tuesday, June 10, the veteran actor took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a video in which he said, “You’re a fool blaming Trump! What are you doing for this destruction — these animals destroying Los Angeles?”
“Are you there talking calmly with them, you fool?! They would burn you down like they’re burning the cars and the American flag, with no regard for humanity!” he said, as per the New York Post.
Jon Voight calls Gavin Newsom a 'disgrace' and a 'lying dog' for attacking Donald Trump

The long-time MAGA supporter also asked the 57-year-old Democrat to focus on the people of Los Angeles instead of attacking the president.
He sternly said, “This is not about Trump. This is about protecting the people from these animals and criminals trying to destroy us. And our police force. Are they supposed to stand there, let rocks hit them and kill them?! Who’s going to save them? You?”
“All you do is cause chaos for the people. You’re a disgrace! You’re nothing but a lying dog for the hopes of becoming the president one day,” Voight added.

The official X account of Newsom's press office reacted to Voight's tweet by sharing the “Old Man Yells At Cloud” meme featuring the character Grampa Simpson from 'The Simpsons'.

Gavin Newsom claims Donald Trump is 'disrespecting' troops
The Academy Award winner’s rant came after it was reported that Donald Trump had deployed 4,000 National Guard troops and 700 Marines to LA since the violent protests began.
Newsom took to X (formerly Twitter) to slam the president over his treatment of the troops, writing, “You sent your troops here without fuel, food, water or a place to sleep. Here they are — being forced to sleep on the floor, piled on top of one another. If anyone is treating our troops disrespectfully, it is you @realDonaldTrump.”

In another post, the governor accused Trump of "choosing escalation" and "more force."
He wrote, "If you incite violence or destroy our communities, you are going to be held accountable."
"Thanks to our law enforcement officers and the majority of Angelenos who protested peacefully, this situation was winding down and was concentrated in just a few square blocks downtown. But that’s not what Donald Trump wanted. He again chose escalation; he chose more force," Newsom added.
