MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Donald Trump’s guilty verdict in the hush money trial has led to outrage among Republicans. While many have slammed the court’s decision as well as the Joe Biden government, there were a few who did not issue any statement on his conviction.

Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, Former UN Ambassador and ex-presidential candidate Nikki Haley, and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie have yet to comment on the verdict.

Nikki Haley said she 'will be voting for Trump'

Haley had earlier spoken up numerous times against Trump. However, recently, the ex-contender for the Republican presidential primary stated in his favor.

"Trump has not been perfect on these policies, but Biden has been a catastrophe. So I will be voting for Trump," she reportedly added.

Christie has, however, never shown support to the 77-year-old Republican.

The former ally of Trump and the ex GOP presidential candidate even issued a piece of advice for Biden recently as he prepares for upcoming debates with the 45th president.

Christie said, as per The Hill, "I don’t care how angry you get about how absolutely incorrect the stuff he’s saying about your record is, about your family, about you personally. Don’t engage, because you will lose that fight."

Donald Trump to go to jail after guilty verdict

The former leader was reportedly convicted on all 34 charges on May 30 in the Manhattan court.

The decision came after it was proved he was responsible for forging his business documents to give hundreds of thousands of dollars to an ex-porn star ahead of the 2016 election to hide an affair.

Trump can be awarded a maximum jail time of 20 years.

Republican leaders call the court’s decision a ‘political maneuver’

Soon after the verdict, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott took to X as he fired, “DA Bragg and the judge should be ashamed of themselves. This isn't just ridiculous, this actually erodes the confidence that Americans have in the justice system. Unbelievable,” as reported by Fox News.

He continued, “But good news is coming. DA Bragg, hear me clearly. You cannot silence the American people. You cannot stop us from voting for change.”

“Joe Biden's injustice, Joe Biden's two-tier injustice system, weaponizing the justice system of the United States of America against a political opponent, un-American. Joe Biden, you're fired. We the people stand with Donald Trump,” Scott added.

Former Vice President Mike Pence stated to Fox News, “No one is above the law, but our courts must not become a tool to be used against political opponents.”

He also asserted, “This conviction also sends a terrible message to the wider world about the American justice system and only further divides us at a time when the American people are struggling under the failed policies of the Biden administration at home and abroad.”

North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum accused Judge Juan Merchan of being unfair toward Trump since he “was a Biden donor.”

“The prosecutors were Biden supporters. This Lawfare should scare every American. The American people will have their say in November,” Burgum stated.

Besides, entrepreneur and politician Vivek Ramaswamy warned by posting on X, “The prosecutor is a politician who promised to nail Trump. The judge’s daughter is a Democrat operative who literally *raised $$ from the trial* while her father presided over it. The jury instructions said they didn’t have to agree on the crime to convict. This will backfire.”

Businessman Perry Johnson also accused the Biden administration of “weaponization of the justice system” as he added, “Today marks a troubling chapter in American history. This was always a political maneuver, not a legal one.”
