Turning Point USA's alternate halftime show features Kid Rock, to rival Bad Bunny at Super Bowl
SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA: Turning Point USA (TPUSA) unveiled the lineup for its All-American Halftime Show on Monday, February 2.
The conservative counter-programming event to Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance is to be headlined by Kid Rock.
Other announced performers include rock and country artists, aimed at appealing to a different audience than the National Football League's (NFL) choice.
Turning Point reveals halftime stars
TPUSA, founded by the late activist Charlie Kirk, announced its All-American Halftime Show to “celebrate faith, family and freedom”.
The show will feature performances by Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett in addition to Kid Rock.
It brings a mix of Southern rock and country music to audiences online and on conservative networks during the Super Bowl’s halftime window.

TPUSA's show is being positioned as an ideological alternative to the NFL’s halftime headliner, Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny.
Headliner Kid Rock is a longtime supporter of President Donald Trump and has embraced conservative themes in his music and public statements in recent years.
Although Kid Rock is better known for his rock and rap-rock crossover hits, his 2008 track 'All Summer Long' reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, marking his most successful entry there.
He previously charted with 'Picture' reaching No. 21 on the same chart.
Country artist Brantley Gilbert has recorded multiple successful singles; his 2016 song 'The Weekend' peaked at No. 9 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.
Lee Brice, a Nashville singer-songwriter known for his string of radio hits, has reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart with multiple singles such as 'Rumor' and 'One of Them Girls,' though his Hot Country Songs peaks include tracks like 'Boy,' which hit No. 14.
Gabby Barrett, winner of the 2021 Academy of Country Music New Female Artist of the Year, rounds out the announced performers with her breakthrough crossover hit 'I Hope.'
Bad Bunny controversy and viewership impact
The alternative halftime show concept emerged after the NFL confirmed Bad Bunny as the headline performer for Super Bowl LX, drawing both acclaim and backlash.
Conservatives criticized the choice, saying his Spanish-language focus and past political criticism of the Trump administration made him a controversial pick.
Bad Bunny’s anticipated halftime performance is backed by massive global popularity: in 2025 the Puerto Rican artist logged an estimated 19.8 billion Spotify streams worldwide, making him the platform’s most-streamed artist of the year.
TPUSA will livestream the All-American Halftime Show on its own social platforms and broadcast partners such as Real America’s Voice and One America News Network, making it available concurrently with the NFL’s halftime festivities.
“The All-American Halftime Show is an opportunity for all Americans to enjoy a halftime show with no agenda other than to celebrate faith, family, and freedom,” Turning Point spokesman Andrew Kolvet said in the release.
