LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: About 17 years after the hit sitcom ended, former 'Malcolm in the Middle' co-stars Bryan Cranston and Frankie Muniz had an emotional reunion captured in a viral video that delighted fans and fueled speculation of a potential revival.

Frankie Muniz and Bryan Cranston reunite at signing for artisanal mezcal brand

Cranston, who memorably played the bumbling father Hal on the hit 2000-2006 sitcom, was recently signing bottles of his artisanal mezcal brand Dos Hombres at an event alongside his 'Breaking Bad' co-star Aaron Paul when Muniz showed up unannounced.

In the viral clip, Muniz, who portrayed the lead character Malcolm, walks up to the signing table holding a bottle of Dos Hombres and greets a visibly stunned Cranston and Paul, exclaiming "Oh my God!"

The multi-Emmy winner immediately recognizes his former on-screen son, leaning in for a warm embrace as Paul whips out his phone to capture photos of the impromptu 'Malcolm in the Middle' mini-reunion.

Their natural rapport was on full display as they grinned from ear to ear. This wasn't just co-workers crossing paths - it's friends picking up right where they left off 17 years later.

Internet delighted seeing unexpected 'Malcolm in the Middle' reunion

As the clip made its way around social media over the weekend, it sparked pure delight among the show's still-dedicated fanbase who grew up watching the hilarious misadventures of Malcolm's chaotic working-class family week after week.

"This must mean so much for them," remarked one user. Another admirer expressed, "Life was fair that night."

"Wow, what a beautiful moment," exclaimed a user while another individual articulated, "People live this day with love."

Amidst the flurry of reactions, a user succinctly hailed the duo, affirming, "Two legends."

Frankie Muniz and Bryan Cranston spark curiosity about 'Malcolm in the Middle' revival

Of course, such a high-profile reunion sparked curiosity if an actual 'Malcolm in the Middle' revival could happen. Both actors have indicated they aren't opposed to the idea, as reported by CBR.

Speaking on the Bialik Breakdown podcast earlier this year, Muniz said series creator Linwood Boomer gave his blessing for a reboot to happen with the two head writers he requested. “Bryan’s been heading, kind of pushing it, because he really loves the idea of putting together a script and figuring out what it could be,” revealed Muniz.

Cranston echoed the possibility of revisiting the beloved characters to E! News, saying, “There was some talk about the possibility of doing like a reunion movie of Malcolm in the Middle...I certainly would be open to that if there was a good idea that came up like, ‘Oh, that would be fantastic to explore what happened to this family 20 years later.’”

The 'Breaking Bad' Emmy winner rated the chances of a revival happening as an 8 out of 10. “We have been working on concepts of story, plots and things like that,” he told 'Watch What Happens Live' host Andy Cohen. For now, fans can still watch reruns of the original Fox series on streaming service Hulu while crossing their fingers for updates.
