Ty Dolla $ign ‘not impressed’ after being canceled by Coachella following his collab with Kanye West
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ty Dolla $ign has reportedly been feeling frustrated and disappointed after allegedly being left out by Coachella organizers for this year’s festival.
A source, as reported by The Sun, said that the rapper had performed earlier at the music festival and was excited for the 2024 event too.
Goldenvoice did not include Ty Dolla $ign for Coachella
$ign and Goldenvoice were reportedly in discussion for the rapper to perform at the music festival. However, $ign was abandoned by Goldenvoice following his collaboration with Kanye West for ‘Vultures’ after West reportedly received backlash for his antisemitic remarks.
At the time, West reportedly noted, “I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for any unintended outburst caused by my words or actions. It was not my intention to offend or demean, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused.”
Ty Dolla $ign ‘complained to friends' about Coachella
The tipster shared, “Ty has been a guest for so many people and would of course loved to have played Coachella, but he believes he's been canceled by association.”
They continued, “The album has been so popular despite not being released on a label, but it seems organizers Golden Voice did not want to deal with the headache of booking him or Kanye.”
“He was not impressed and has complained to friends about it as Coachella is a bucket-list gig for most artists and he'd been working his way up,” the source added.

Kanye West says 'streaming devalues our music'
This development comes after 'Vultures 2' was not released on its scheduled date, which was March 8.
Recently, footage of West was posted online in which he reportedly said, “Was talking with the team about how to release the next album. Like James Blake said streaming devalues our music. We sell albums on Yeezy.com.”
“I got 20 million Instagram followers. When five percent of my followers buy an album, that's one million albums sold. That's 300K more than the biggest album last year,” the 46-year-old rapper stated.
He added, “We sold 1 million items on Yeezy.com on Super Bowl Sunday so we know it's possible. How do you feel about us not streaming and only selling the album digitally.”
