LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rapper Tyga was forced to end his livestream abruptly to evacuate as the raging wildfires in Los Angeles reached near his home, AceShowbiz reported on Tuesday, January 14.

The incident took place over the weekend, while Tyga was in conversation with his fans online.

At one point, the 35-year-old is seen saying, "I might have to end it," after he hears an update about the fires. "I wanted to stay on all night with y'all, but we gotta be safe."

Impact of the LA wildfires

The fires blazing in LA County are yet to be fully contained and have wrought devastation over 10,000 acres, aided by strong winds and dry conditions. Multiple celebrities, such as Jhene Aiko and Paris Hilton, have had to flee their homes to escape the raging flames. They have taken to social media to raise awareness on the issue.

The Los Angeles Fire Department has established command centers, supported by neighboring counties and states. Emergency shelters have been set up, with the likes of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and Snoop Dogg, coming forward to help in relief efforts.

According to AceShowbiz, the fires in southern California have heavily affected the entertainment industry. Professionals have been joining the ranks of evacuees and production schedules are delayed and events are cancelled.

On Monday, January 13, outgoing President Joe Biden announced the federal government will be paying $770 to every individual affected by the fires, as per News Nation. He also promised that the federal government will cover 100% of the disaster response costs for the next six months connected to the tragedy.

"We are not waiting until the fires are over to help victims. We are helping them all right now. People impacted by these fires are going to receive one-time payment of $770,” Biden said. β€œSo they can quickly purchase things like water, baby formula, prescriptions.”
