WASHINGTON DC: Two individuals have been apprehended following the unauthorized entry into a Secret Service vehicle stationed near President Biden's granddaughter Naomi Biden's residence in Washington, DC.

The arrests were made concerning this incident, as confirmed by court documents and statements from the federal law enforcement agency.

Who are the suspects?

Robert Kemp, 19, and an unidentified minor were arrested following a Secret Service investigation into the break-in incident that occurred in November 2023.

The incident took place in the upscale Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, DC, where Naomi Biden, President Biden's granddaughter, resides and is under Secret Service protection.

Kemp faced charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle and auto theft, as per the Secret Service.

However, court documents from the Superior Court of the Columbia district only mention the charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle.

This charge is linked to a stolen Toyota Corolla, which was reportedly used as the escape vehicle. Despite the serious allegations, Kemp was released the day after his arrest on February 7, as per the New York Post.

Daring break-in of Secret Service vehicle near Naomi Biden's home

On the night of the incident, a Secret Service agent assigned to Naomi's detail noticed a suspect with his legs hanging out of the broken rear window of the vehicle.

The suspect escaped in a getaway car, nearly hitting an agent who fired at the vehicle. However, it is believed that no one was hit by the bullet.

The 14-year-old male suspect, believed to be involved in the break-in, was arrested and charged with three counts of armed carjacking, unrelated to the Georgetown incident.

The Secret Service's investigation revealed that the juvenile suspect was wearing a court-ordered GPS tracking device that placed him in Naomi Biden's Georgetown neighborhood at the time of the break-in.

It is reported that during the heist, Robert Kemp stole equipment worth at least $1K from a government vehicle which included a police vest, night vision goggles, a portable router, and chemical sticks, as per the Secret Service.

Fingerprints of Kemp and his minor accomplice were found on a McDonald's receipt and bag in the recovered getaway car.
