Video of fan forcibly kissing Tom Cruise goes viral, Internet says ‘imagine if the roles were reversed’

SAINT-DENIS, FRANCE: A video of a woman forcibly kissing Tom Cruise has created an uproar on the internet. The incident reportedly happened at the Stade de France after the 62-year-old actor stunned everyone with his thrilling performance at the Paris Olympics closing ceremony.

Since the 2028 Games will be happening in Los Angeles, Cruise was the perfect choice to do stunts during the closing ceremony.

During the performance, the film producer flew down from the top of the national stadium of France as Simone Biles passed the Olympic flag to Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass after taking it from Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo.

Eventually, Cruise got the flag before he flew high in the Los Angeles air in a pre-recorded clip.

But what received more attention was the unknown fan exploiting the ‘Top Gun’ star’s personal space. In the viral video, the woman grabs Cruise as he appears shocked before planting a kiss on his cheek while recording the incident on her phone.

Though the ' Mission Impossible’ actor did not react negatively, people have shared their frustration online.

Internet calls Tom Cruise fans ‘worst kind of people’

“Cringe. If a man did that to a female celebrity there would be questions…” a user tweeted.

Another user wrote, “Imagine if the roles were reversed…”

The third user shared, “Would hate to see what would happen if the roles were reversed.”

“The worst kind of people in audiences. Absolute zero respect for personal space. If it had been a man with a woman people would already be looking for all his information to burn him alive,” the fourth user stated.

 

The fifth one added, “She was extremely inappropriate; you can't just try to kiss a stranger. If a man had done that to a female celebrity there'd be an uproar.”

“Not at all pleasant, being kissed unexpectedly by either a woman or a man is very unpleasant. If it were the other way around, everyone would be pissed off,” a person commented.
