NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: A video showing former President Bill Clinton appearing to nudge former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton toward a busy crosswalk in New York City has gone viral online.
The clip captured the couple attempting to cross a street while walking in Manhattan. Hillary pulled back and protested as Bill appeared to encourage her to step into the crosswalk before the signal changed.
The brief exchange unfolded after the Clintons attended an event and visited their daughter, Chelsea Clinton, in the city.

The footage showed Bill Clinton smiling as he appeared to nudge Hillary Clinton toward the adjoining crosswalk in what looked like an attempt to cross before the pedestrian signal allowed it.
Hillary immediately resisted the move and raised both hands in front of her while stepping back from the curb.
"No, no, no, no, no. Don't do that. Don't do that," Hillary was heard saying. Bill responded with a grin and replied, "That's not a good idea."
The former secretary of state then waited at the curb as traffic continued moving through the intersection.

A third user shared their concern, writing, "That moment looked quite awkward and careless. In a crowded city like NYC, even a small push near traffic can be risky. It’s the kind of incident that quickly grabs attention because of who is involved."

Clintons appear after Epstein probe testimony
The public sighting came days after both Clintons testified before the House Oversight Committee as part of an investigation related to the government's handling of the case involving disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.
In an unusual deposition conducted under subpoena, the former president and former secretary of state answered questions as part of the committee’s probe into Epstein’s network and his connections with prominent individuals.
Investigators said the review seeks to examine how Epstein cultivated relationships with influential figures that may have helped conceal his criminal activities.
Bill has previously acknowledged having a relationship with Epstein and traveling with him in the past. However, neither Bill nor Hillary has been accused of misconduct related to Epstein.
The investigation has also led to the release of documents referencing several high-profile figures, including President Donald Trump, as lawmakers continue examining Epstein’s connections to powerful individuals.
