Vin Diesel’s shoutout to Dwayne Johnson at 2025 Golden Globes sparks riot of fan theories

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Hollywood action stars Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson faced each other at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 5, reported Variety. 

However, the friendly interaction between the two ‘Fast & Furious’ stars left their fans stunned since their on-set rivalry is among the most prominent contemporary Hollywood lores.

Diesel went up on stage to present the award for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement to ‘Wicked’ when he took a pause at the beginning of his speech and called out, “Hey, Dwayne.”

Johnson, aka The Rock, smiled in response and acknowledged with a small nod.

The feud between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson dates back to 2016 when The Rock called out a co-star in the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise as “chicken s**t” and “candy a**".

Word got out that Diesel was the subject of the jibes, with the actor later claiming that it was his “tough love” to improve Johnson's performance that led to the tension on set.

Diesel has been part of the 'Fast' franchise since the first movie premiered in 2001.

However, the beef officially ended in 2023, as Johnson surprised fans by reprising his character of Hobbs in the franchise for a mid-credit scene in ‘Fast X'.

While he did previously state his intention of not returning to the franchise, Johnson is reportedly set to star with Diesel in the upcoming 11th ‘Fast’ movie.
