Vince Vaughn praises his family for always being there
The ‘Bad Monkey’ star had his entire family to support him, including his parents Sharon and Vernon Vaughn, his wife Kyla, and their two children Locklyn, 13, and Vernon, 11.
"My beautiful wife Kyla — so glad that you're with me on this now. I'm so grateful for you and for these beautiful kids, and for all the laughter that we share together," the star said in his speech.
“And as much as all this means, Vernon and Locklyn, and these honors, you guys really do need to know that you guys are the most important thing in the world to me," Vaughn added
The 54-year-old expressed gratitude to the "most important" people in his life, "You're not as lucrative — you don't give me access to the stuff that this kinda thing does."
"But with that all being said, you guys are the most important, and I love you both very much. It's great to have you guys with me," he acknowledged.
What inspired Vince Vaughn to take up comedy?
‘The Break-Up’ actor shared that movies such as ‘Animal House’ got him into this line of business, reported People.
"[I felt like] I could do that, and maybe make people laugh and give families a good night to discuss stuff and have joy," Vaughn revealed.
The star also admitted that it was his parents who gave him "the gift of storytelling and watching movies and laughing and talking about them afterwards."
Earlier, the producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame Ana Martinez announced in a statement, "The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to honor multi-hyphenate Vince Vaughn with a coveted star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame."
"From his work on television to film, Vince has made quite an impact on the entertainment world and we are excited to celebrate his achievements with this dedication ceremony,” she added.
