LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: TikTok viewers discovered an unexpected and amusing parallel to the ongoing legal dispute between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni in an episode of 'Clifford the Big Red Dog' from 2020.

A user named @cake_n_tyla posted a clip of the children's TV show playing on her television on Monday, February 17, along with the caption, "POV: If Blake Lively watched this episode of Clifford she could have saved 400M!" according to the Daily Mail

'Clifford the Big Red Dog' episode has netizens discussing Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's legal drama

A scene in the episode 'Making A Movie!' shows Emily Elizabeth, one of the show's main protagonists, checking in on her friend Sam, who is clearly frustrated.

"Oh no, Sam, are you okay?" Emily asked, to which Sam replied, "I'm just... I mean, I'm the director. I had everything planned out for my movie, and well, you sort of just took over."

Emily then expressed regret, stating, "I'm sorry, Sam. I was just trying to help," to which Sam replied, "I know, but the director is the leader."

Emily recognized her error and said, "You're right, I did take over, I'm sorry. And you know, Sam, I am not a very good director."

Netizens were immediately reminded of Lively and Baldoni's alleged on-set power struggle over the movie 'It Ends With Us', which later turned into a full-blown legal battle.

The movie's release last year was marred by rumors of a dispute between the two co-stars, as they appeared to shun each other throughout the promotional tour and Lively was criticized for her "tone-deaf" behavior in interviews about the somber subject of the film.

In December 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, accusing him of harassment, orchestrating a smear campaign, and fostering a toxic working environment on the set of the film.

Denying the accusations, Baldoni filed a $400 million countersuit against the actress and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, 48, for allegedly attempting to "destroy" his name. He also filed a $250 million defamation lawsuit against the New York Times over an article about the allegations brought against him by Lively.

In an attempt to defend himself, Baldoni has released unedited footage from 'It Ends With Us' set as well as voice notes and text messages exchanged with Lively.

Furthermore, the 'Jane the Virgin' actor launched a website devoted to disproving Lively's allegations, which prompted her and Reynolds to request a restraining order in an attempt to limit additional revelations.

The case is scheduled to go to trial in 2026, but it's unclear if Baldoni's evidence will be accepted by the judge or if this legal dispute will continue to unfold as dramatically as the movie.
