LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: JK Rowling, who has become a regular at courting controversies for the last few years, recently found herself in a bizarre spot when an X (formerly Twitter) user pointed out the British author might have mold in her home.

Last week, a user named Sam (@mushycrouton), posted a picture of Rowling, saying, "Sorry but is that black mold growing up the walls of [J.K.'s] house? Is that why she's the way she is?"

The picture Sam attached in his post shows some black spots on the walls behind her, which led some to believe that black mold was probably growing in her home, as per Distractify.

Since then the post has been viewed 5.3 million times and has gathered 36k likes.

Instead of accepting or denying the mold infestation, the author simply changed her profile picture, leading many to believe that she indeed read the tweet and had an idea about what the users were talking about.

Internet speculates what might have been on JK Rowling's walls

After Sam shared the post, other X users were invested in finding out what might have been going on with JK Rowling's walls. Some took the opportunity to poke fun at the Harry Potter creator due to her recent controversies.

One said, "I'm honestly surprised one of the individuals with basically all the money in the UK isn't able to have their house properly de-molded and even use a picture with it in the background as their pfp."

Another wrote, "This explains so much tbh," possibly pointing to her controversial stance on some topics. Someone else replied with a Harry Potter reference, saying, "Those are the dementors she keeps trapped in the walls."

"It’s the damp emanating from her mouldy, stuck in the past beliefs," remarked a person and someone else expressed, "Seems weird to have black mold just chilling in the background like this."

Another person, however, posted two side-by-side pictures of Rowling, writing, "Someone posted this longer picture and you can see it seems to be a murales with flowers." "It’s a painted landscape mural. Don’t be daft," echoed an individual.

"Literally floral wallpaper. But please, continue demonstrating your inability to critically think about what you're looking at," commented a user, with one more saying, "I actually think it's removable wallpaper which is even worse than mold if you're a billionaire in a castle."

JK Rowling bashes IOC for allowing a 'male' to get in the ring following Imane Khelif and Angela Carini's match

JK Rowling once again found herself embroiled in controversy after she labeled Algerian boxer Imane Khelif a "man" following her match against Italian boxer Angela Carini.

In the Round of 16 match at the Paris Olympics, Carini broke down and abandoned the fight after just 46 seconds. The situation courted claims about Khelif being a "biological male" due to her disqualification from the women's world championship in 2023 after she failed an unspecified gender eligibility test.

Rowling, who has faced backlash in the past over her anti-transgender remarks, took to X to voice her opinion on that matter.

Sharing a picture of Khelif and Carini from the boxing ring, she wrote, "Could any picture sum up our new men’s rights movement better? The smirk of a male who’s knows he’s protected by a misogynist sporting establishment enjoying the distress of a woman he’s just punched in the head, and whose life’s ambition he’s just shattered."

In another post, she slammed the International Olympic Committee (IOC), writing, "A young female boxer has just had everything she’s worked and trained for snatched away because you allowed a male to get in the ring with her. You’re a disgrace, your ‘safeguarding’ is a joke and #Paris24 will be forever tarnished by the brutal injustice done to Carini."
