LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tori Spelling's latest divorce application has made headlines around the town while the actress is preparing to dispel "misconceptions" regarding her life in the wake of her much-publicized marriage breakdown.

The 'Beverly Hills, 90210' alum filed for divorce from her estranged spouse Dean McDermott on Friday, March 29, after an 18-year marriage and a 10-month separation.

Two days before the news emerged, the 50-year-old actress released a preview for her next iHeartRadio podcast, 'misSPELLING', where she promises to confront long-running suspicions regarding her personal life, per Daily Mail.

Tori Spelling's new podcast will address 'misconceptions'

In a teaser that mentioned the iHeartRadio podcast recently, the narrator could be heard speaking enigmatically while gradually exposing information about the podcast's host, Tori Spelling.

The narrator promised to pull back the curtain on her public persona and present "the real woman behind the notorious Tori Spelling headlines" in the teaser.

"Who is the real woman behind the notorious Tori Spelling headlines?" The narrator made fun of herself before citing several recent rumors regarding her living arrangement and marriage.

"Is the mother of five living in a Beverly Hills manor or in an RV? Is she Donna Martin or is she a down and out divorcee?"

The preview went on: "For someone who grew up with Hollywood mogul Aaron Spelling, was she daddy's little girl, or is she her father's daughter?"

Although Spelling lives "in a town where lines are blurred," she is at last taking action to "clear the air" as she "confronts the missteps, the mistakes and the misconceptions."

The teaser concluded, "Because when a woman has nothing to lose, she has everything to gain."

Spelling makes her podcast debut amid news of her divorce from McDermott.

The former 'Beverly Hills, 90210' star filed for divorce on March 29, just three days after being spotted crying after an intense encounter with McDermott, per court documents obtained by TMZ.

The 'Saved by the Bell' star stated that their official date of separation was June 17, 2023, and claimed irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split in court records.

Along with joint legal custody, with McDermott's visiting rights to be decided later, Spelling also requested sole physical custody of their five minor children—Liam Aaron McDermott, 17, Stella Doreen, 15, Hattie Margaret, 12, Finn Davey, 11, and Beau Dean, 7.

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott reportedly in 'a better place'

Hours after the divorce paperwork became public knowledge, an insider told PEOPLE that Spelling and McDermott are in "a better place after everything reached a crisis point."

McDermott spent time in a sober living home after completing a 40-day stay in rehab during the year that he and Spelling separated.

The source revealed: "She was being a mama bear protecting her cubs and gave him an ultimatum that he had to get help in order to spend time with the kids."

"He did get that help last year and has been doing well. They’re both ready to move on with their lives and focused on making sure the kids are in a healthy environment."

Early in 2024, McDermott told Page Six, "I am clean and sober … I got to a place where I finally surrendered and admitted that I needed help," acknowledging that Spelling and his new partner Lily Calo had helped him along the way.

The actor revealed that he "went into treatment and put [his] life back together."

As for Spelling, she has since moved on with CEO of Neuron Syndicate Inc. in Santa Monica Ryan Cramer.

The insider told PEOPLE, "They’re both really happy in their new relationships, and the kids are also happy. The family camaraderie had been improving even compared to say three months ago."
