'Wants clout': Flavor Flav slammed for asking Jo Koy to apologize to Taylor Swift over Golden Globes joke

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: American rapper Flavor Flav has voiced his concerns regarding comedian Jo Koy's monologue at the Golden Globes 2024, focusing on the comedian's joke about the NFL and Taylor Swift. Flav is urging Koy to apologize to Swift for his comments.

Flav is not the only one disappointed by Koy's skit; Swifties, devoted fans of Swift, have been criticizing Koy since the Golden Globes 2024 aired.

According to Swifties, Koy's actions have only worsened the situation, especially after he released a statement expressing support for Swift in his defense.

Many social media users have also expressed that Koy's jokes crossed a line during his hosting of the Golden Globes. In addition to the remarks about Swift, Jo Koy is also facing criticism for his joke referring to the movie 'Barbie' as a "plastic doll with big boobies."

Flav has consistently expressed his passion for Swift, proudly identifying as a Swiftie for an extended period.

Both Swift and Flav happened to attend the 81st Golden Globe Awards on January 7, where Swift's 'Eras Tour' concert film was nominated for its cinematic and box office achievements.

Despite the 'Eras Tour' movie losing to Greta Gerwig's 'Barbie,' Swifties were particularly displeased with host Koy's jokes about Swift and the NFL's coverage of her game attendance.

During his monologue at the Globes, Koy remarked, "The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL? At the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift," prompting Swift to give him a fierce expression.

Amidst the backlash from Swifties against Koy, Flav also voiced his criticism on X, stating, "I keeps gettin asked bout the Golden Globes host,,, it aint an easy gig but he took the easy way to make jokes bout women and Taylor. they aint never did anything to the host so why the he gotta try to take them down?? The jokes werent funny and maybe he should apologize. Yeah."

Despite facing significant criticism for his performance at the Golden Globes 2024, Koy found support from Kevin Hart.
