WASHINGTON, DC: Congresswoman Harriet Hageman has opened up on Donald Trump’s second assassination attempt. 

The Republican Rep, during her interview, questioned Democrats' rhetorics and asked them to stop demonizing the former president. 



 

What did Harriet Hageman say about Donald Trump's second assassination attempt?

Talking with Fine Point, Harriet Hageman said, “The Democrats have got to stop demonizing our candidate the way that they have. The reality is when they liken him to Hitler or someone who’s going to destroy democracy, they are making crazy people crazier.”

Suspect Ryan Wesley Routh was arrested after an alleged assassination attempt on the former president on Sunday, September 15, while he was golfing at his club in West Palm Beach.

The Wyoming Congresswoman's comments come after Republican Rep Byron Donalds demanded Democrats to take down their Project 2025 ads from the battleground states.

Hageman also made a statement after the first assassination attempt on Trump during the Butler, Pennsylvania, rally in July.

“It is a somber day following the assassination attempt on President Trump last night. This is a senseless act of political violence and should be condemned by all,” she said, per SVI News.

“The House of Representatives will fully investigate this tragic event – I will keep you informed throughout the entire process. Please join me in continuing to pray for our nation, President Trump, the injured rally goers, and their families,” she added.

Internet slams Harriet Hageman for blaming Democrats after Donald Trump's assassination attempt

Netizens questioned Harriet Hageman over her comments on Donald Trump's assassination attempt in Florida. A few reminded the Congresswoman that the Republican vice presidential candidate, JD Vance, once compared Trump to Adolf Hitler. 

One person shared on X, "It's so damn funny his running mate called him Hitler."

"The one attempt and possibly the second attempt on Trump’s life was by disgruntled Republicans," a user expressed.

An individual asked, "But it's perfectly acceptable to label migrants as 'animals', accuse them of 'poisoning the blood of our country,' or call VP Harris a marxist, or make light of the attack on Paul Pelosi. Need we list all the times Trump has put the lives of Americans in danger?"

"I’m sorry but Trump actually says he will round up, arrest and deport 10-20 million people. How it is alarmist to be concerned about that?" said another person.
