PARIS, FRANCE: In a moment destined to be replayed in basketball lore, Stephen Curry delivered a stellar performance in Team USA’s gold medal victory against France at the Paris Olympics, as reported by the New York Post.

Facing off against the towering Victor Wembanyama, the 7-foot-4 French sensation, Curry not only secured his first Olympic gold medal but did so in a manner that left fans around the world in awe.

In a game that had spectators on the edge of their seats, Steph Curry found himself up against Victor Wembanyama, whose sheer height advantage posed a daunting challenge. As he has consistently done throughout his remarkable career, Curry stepped up when it mattered most.

A snapshot from the game captures the iconic moment: Curry, dwarfed by Wembanyama, lofts a shot over the outstretched arms of the French prodigy. The image has since gone viral, encapsulating the spirit of a modern-day David versus Goliath.

"The modern version of David vs Goliath duel..." an X user fittingly described the scene, echoing the sentiments of countless fans who were left speechless by Curry's ability to overcome such overwhelming odds.

Curry's performance in the fourth quarter was nothing short of spectacular. With Team USA's lead dwindling to just three points after a bucket from Wembanyama, the pressure was on.

However, Curry, known for his clutch performances, responded in typical fashion. Just 10 seconds after France closed the gap, Curry drained a three-pointer, shifting the momentum back in favor of the Americans.

But he wasn’t done. With time winding down and the French defense tightening, Curry delivered two more critical three-pointers, including a miraculous shot while being double-teamed with only 35 seconds left on the clock.

Each dagger was met with exuberant celebrations from Curry and his teammates, many of whom mimicked his signature "night night" gesture, a testament to the confidence and swagger that Curry brings to the court.

All of Curry’s 24 points came from beyond the arc, as he shot an impressive 8-for-13 from three-point range. This followed his nine three-pointers in Team USA's nail-biting semifinal victory over Serbia, underscoring his status as the greatest shooter the game has ever seen.

In addition to scoring, Curry also contributed five assists and grabbed a rebound, playing a pivotal role in Team USA's triumph.

Winning the gold medal in Paris was a major milestone in Curry's legendary career.

Despite being a four-time NBA champion and a 10-time All-Star, the Olympic gold had eluded him. Curry opted out of the 2016 Rio Olympics and the Tokyo Games, making his participation in Paris all the more meaningful.
