Depp is presently occupied with directing the ‘Modi’ biopic and is enjoying the new role, per TMZ.

'Modi' is based on the life of Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani, and features Riccardo Scamarcio, Sally Phillips, and Al Pacino among other actors.
The film is highly anticipated by moviegoers since it is being directed by Depp, who last sat on the director's chair for 1997's ‘The Brave.’
For now, he’s busy with work in Europe and has lost weight too. The 60-year-old star recently made an appearance at the London premiere of his film ‘Jeanne du Barry.’
The 'Public Enemies' star was also in news for his reported interest in buying an Italian castle. It is likely to cost the star $4 million for the medieval castle in Montalto Dora, Italy.
According to local reports, Depp, 60, has shown interest in buying the castle which has recently undergone a lengthy restoration process, per TMZ.
