PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Former President Donald Trump's fondness for merchandising controversy reached new heights with the surfacing of his "indictment" edition trading card set, as revealed by MeidasTouch.

Images from a Mar-a-Lago event showed the cards depicting Trump as an armored, sword-wielding angel battling prosecutors seeking his indictment. The over-the-top portrayal sparked a wave of online mockery and criticism.

The peculiar cards were first spotted during a fundraiser hosted at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort on April 25 for Arizona State Representative Mark Finchem, an election denier with ties to the far-right Oath Keepers militia group. A guest's photograph showed a box of the trading cards prominently displayed on a dining table.

The eye-catching artwork on the box cover depicted Trump as a winged, golden-armored angel wielding what appeared to be a weapon, possibly a sword.

His gaze seemed to be fixed upon New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg and Department of Justice Special Prosecutor Jack Smith, both brandishing swords inscribed with the word "indictment."

Trump was charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records last year, which prosecutors say was an effort to hide a potential sex scandal, both before and after the 2016 presidential election. Smith sported dark armor with gold trim, while Bragg wore a black cloak. The imagery portrayed Trump as a heroic figure battling against the evil prosecutors seeking his indictment.

It remains uncertain whether the former president intends to make the "indictment" themed trading card set available to his supporters in the near future.

Trump has strongly criticized the criminal trial against him, labeling it as "election interference." He alleged that prosecutors were collaborating with the Biden administration to target him politically, aiming to hinder his campaign activities, according to Fox News.

Despite facing legal proceedings, he strategically campaigned in Wisconsin and Michigan on Wednesday, May 1, capitalizing on the court's non-session day. Trump expressed confidence that the prosecutions would backfire, believing his supporters recognized them as "rigged" and "unfair."
