'Weirdo boomers': Jennings torches 'No Kings' rallies on CNN, calls flags 'representative' of Dems

'I think if America looks at this and says, what do the two parties stand for? They got it at the No Kings rallies', Scott Jennings said

ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Conservative political commentator Scott Jennings tore into the 'No Kings' protests during an appearance on CNN's 'State of the Union' on Saturday, March 28, arguing that the demonstrations exposed the ideological core of the Democratic coalition.

Speaking on the show, Jennings pointed directly to the imagery and messaging seen at the rallies, saying they reveal exactly “what the two parties stand for.”

Scott Jennings says 'No Kings' rallies reflect Democratic coalition makeup

Jennings made his argument bluntly, relying heavily on what he said he observed at the protests.

“These No Kings rallies actually look pretty representative to me of the Democratic coalition,” he said.

He then detailed what stood out to him: “I saw people flying the hammer and sickle in New York City. I saw violent groups' flags. I saw Palestinian flags. I saw trans signs. I saw weirdo liberal boomers out there.”

Rather than treating these as isolated visuals, Jennings framed them as politically meaningful.

“This is pretty representative of the Democratic Coalition, and that’s who funds it as well, by the way,” he added.

Driving the point home, he concluded, “So I think if America looks at this and says, what do the two parties stand for? They got it at the No Kings rallies.”

Jennings later reinforced his remarks in a post on X, where he sharpened his language even further.

“The flags flown at the No Kings Rallies were pretty representative of the Democratic coalition: communist hammer & sickle, trans, & all being waved by weirdo boomers,” he wrote.

He followed that with a broader political takeaway: “If you want to know where the energy on the left is, they showed you.”

Scott Jennings ties protests to DHS shutdown

In another part of the same 'State of the Union' discussion, Jennings shifted focus to the ongoing Department of Homeland Security funding standoff, linking it to what he described as broader Democratic priorities.

“We can all agree, though, that this is highly irresponsible. We’re at war, and we have the thing called Homeland Security closed,” he said.

He continued by emphasizing the scale of the issue: “For this fiscal year, Department of Homeland Security has been shut down 50% of the time.”

Placing blame squarely on Democrats, Jennings added, “In both cases, it was Democrats, frankly, just throwing a fit, a fit about immigration. That’s it.”

He ended with a sharper political jab, saying, “They care more about no immigration enforcement than people moving around the country.”
