LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Wendy Williams has weighed in on the ongoing investigation into Sean 'Diddy' Combs, declaring it was "about time" for the disgraced rapper to face scrutiny. Diddy was arrested in New York last months after being indicted on serious charges, including trafficking and coercion.

While he vehemently denies the allegations and has pleaded not guilty, he currently remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center, awaiting trial. Despite his attempts to secure bail, which have been denied twice, Diddy has filed a notice of appeal in the hope of overturning the ruling.

In the wake of Sean 'Diddy' Combs' arrest, Wendy Williams has broken her silence regarding the ongoing legal case.

On Tuesday, October 1, the Daily Mail reported her saying, "What is really weird is that I have been told by so many people, ‘Wendy, you called it', including some people from my family who have said the same."

She expressed her horror at the footage released earlier this year, which allegedly shows Diddy assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassandra Ventura aka Cassie.

Williams, who has been openly critical of the 54-year-old artist, remarked, "You know how I feel about that? It is about time. To see this video on TV of [Cassie] getting pummeled… it was just horrific. But now you have to think, how many more times? How many people? How many more women? It’s just so horrible."

This follows the resurfacing of an awkward interview from 2017 featuring Diddy on 'The Wendy Williams Show' over the weekend.

In the clip, the controversial rapper converses with Williams about her son, Kevin Hunt Jr, who was 16 at the time.

“And let me tell you something, as the mother of a now 16-year-old,” Williams began, only to be interrupted by Diddy, who said, “Mhm, who I met backstage, he's a great young man.”

Williams quickly expressed her gratitude for the compliment but then seemed to lose her train of thought, stuttering as Diddy continued to gaze at her.

According to Sean 'Diddy' Combs' attorney, Marc Agnifilo, the disgraced rap mogul maintains his innocence and intends to challenge the legal charges against him.

Agnifilo stated that Combs firmly believes this prosecution is racially motivated and that he is being singled out due to his status as a "successful Black man". This statement follows earlier remarks from Agnifilo, who mentioned that Combs is eager to testify in court.

The former Manhattan Assistant District Attorney emphasized that Combs is determined to "fight this case not just for himself, but for others in similar position" who also face government persecution.

Agnifilo added that Combs is focused on his family and wants to demonstrate that he is still "the same man they've always known".
