'What a plot twist': Andy Cohen settles rumors about romantic relationship with pal John Mayer
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Andy Cohen has settled all rumors about his closeness with pal John Mayer.
The host of the ‘Watch What Happens Live' recently spoke about his alleged romantic relationship with the ‘Gravity’ singer.
“Let them speculate! I honestly love John Mayer, and he loves me. But because we’re so affectionate toward each other, people don’t know what box to put that in,” Cohen told The Hollywood Reporter.
“They assume we’re sleeping with each other, which we are most definitely not,” he added.
John Mayer and Andy Cohen's inseparable bond
Many speculated after Andy Cohen joined his songwriter-singer friend for his 40th birthday with him on a group trip to Brazil.
Also, Mayer was present at Cohen's 2019 baby shower and earlier serenaded the host on his 50th birthday.
The ‘Daughters’ crooner also gave a speech at the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony for Andy Cohen in February 2022.
"He's a Madonna stan and a Deadhead. He's an A-lister, who parties like a B-lister, with the free spirit of a C-lister," Mayer said in his address.
"I love Andy more than I can tell you. He's a brilliant human being, a hilarious cohort, a loving son and brother — and more recently he's become a proud, engaged and deeply devoted father."
Cohen reacted to Mayer’s speech while talking with the outlet, “When he inducted me into the Hollywood Walk of Fame, John Mayer said that I unwittingly have become a gay best friend to people who never had a gay best friend. That really moved me.”
“There’s a lot of moms who have come up to me at book signings and say, ‘I watched your show for years with my son, who then wound up coming out of the closet, and having you meant a lot to us,’” he added.

A user commented, "People are really running with this story for it to just be an assumption."
One curious fan pointed at their heights, "Is John super tall or is Andy super short?"
"It’s perfect! It would be refreshing to have a gay blues man. But then again he is not a real blues man," another said.
"Andy and him are best friends. I believe that’s it," someone claimed.
Slamming those speculating, a user said, "People make up stories. For what??"
