LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Former President Donald Trump declared his wish to top the list of the worst-treated Presidents of the United States ahead of Abraham Lincoln.

Speaking at the Commit to Caucus Rally in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Saturday, January 27, the Republican frontrunner said, "In history, they say the president that was treated the worst was Abraham Lincoln, but he had the Civil War, you know, so he had a little Civil War going."

"Andrew Jackson, he was treated very badly. And a few others. And I haven't seen the new list, but if I'm not number one over Abraham Lincoln, I will be very disappointed because I don't believe any president has ever been," he added.

The ex-president's remarks came a day after a Manhattan federal jury ordered him to pay $83.3 million in damages to Elle columnist E Jean Carroll for defaming her in 2019 by denying her sexual assault claims against him. Trump called the verdict a "Biden Directed Witch Hunt."

Trump plays the victim card against Joe Biden

Mainly focusing his speech on criticizing the Biden administration's border policies amid the escalation in Texas, Trump also accused his successor of "election interference."

Trump claimed the current administration is "weaponizing law enforcement for high-level election interference."

"I'm the victim of it, but that's okay. I'm the victim of it, and it's my great honor because you're finding out they're doing things to me that none has ever happened, and here I am, and we're leading in every poll," he continued.

Trump, who has previously claimed that his presidency was the best in American history, has accused the Biden administration of a "witch hunt" agaisnt him in light of his many legal tactics.

Besides the civil trial, the White House hopeful also faces 91 felony charges over four indictments, including for his alleged involvement in efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.

Despite the myriad legal battles, Trump has established himself as the potential GOP nominee for the 2024 presidential election with his significant victories in the Iowa caucus and the New Hampshire primary.

Internet calls Trump the 'worst President'

Netizens refused to agree with Trump's demand and instead ridiculed him, calling him the "whiniest" and "worst" President of the US.

One user stated, "Whether you are number one on that list or not, you surely are the number one on the whiniest presidents list."

Another wrote, "He thinks there's a list that ranks the worst treated presidents?!?"

"Yes, you are treated the worst because you are the worst," a third user added. A fourth response read, "He always wa to to be number 1. Even if it's a bad list."

One user remarked, "I mean being murdered is bad but look I’m running free with 91 felonies." Another questioned, "When did the GOP start embracing victimhood? 2016."

"For a supposed tough guy, Trump sure seems to cry victim over and over and over," read a reaction. Another added, "Why does MAGA call this guy their strong man? He cries about how he's a victim constantly."
