WASHINGTON, DC: Just when everyone thought the Trump administration had peaked in oddball moments, the White House livestreamed a bonkers lo-fi video to promote the president’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill.’

The brief video, which aired on the White House’s official X account for more than 16 hours, featured an animated version of Donald Trump performing a range of tasks.

White House’s bizarre lo-fi video shows Trump flipping burgers

Titled, “One Big Beautiful Lo-Fi MAGA Video to Relax / Study to,” the video captured an animated version of Trump working the fryers and waving to customers as soothing beats play in the background.

The particular frame was in reference to Trump's publicity gimmick during his 2024 presidential campaign, in which he worked at a McDonald's in Pennsylvania.

As the left side of the video displays Trump’s animated version, the left side shows a stream of text gently scroll by, laying out the supposed benefits of the domestic policy legislation, which Trump has dubbed his “Big Beautiful Bill.”

The stream asserted that the bill will restore budgetary sanity, permanently protect America's borders, upgrade air traffic control systems, and fulfill a slew of other pledges that mirror Trump's long-standing campaign slogan, "promises made, promises kept."

The clip also depicts a cartoon Trump hoisting an American flag in front of the White House, presumably referring to the two massive flagpoles he placed as a "gift" to the country earlier this month.

The entire livestream appears to be a spoof of the well-known French YouTube channel LoFi Girl, which launched in 2017 and offers 24/7 livestreams of lo-fi and trip hop beats accompanied by a cartoon of a girl studying or relaxing at her desk, usually with her cat, in the style of Japanese animation powerhouse Studio Ghibli, according to Daily Beast.

The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that individual judges cannot grant nationwide injunctions to block executive orders, including the injunction on President Trump’s effort to eliminate birthright citizenship in the U.S. The justices did not rule on Trump’s order to end birthright citizenship but stopped his order from taking effect for 30 days. Notably, this is not the first time the Trump administration has performed such a ruse.

At the beginning of May, a similar livestream was launched on YouTube, Rumble, and X, featuring yet another cartoon version of the president scribbling away to lo-fi beat at the Resolute Desk amid a list of "promises made, promises kept" to the American people.

Trump’s ‘lo-fi’ animated video leaves internet baffled

The White House’s livestream ‘lo-fi’ video featuring Donald Trump’s animated version left internet users baffled, with one user saying, “Had to triple check but it's actually the official white house account.”

“Is Trump competing with the lo-fi girl rn,” the second user jokingly questioned.

“The White House has an infinite loop of Lo-Fi beats to listen to while you read the big beautiful bill,” the third user wrote.

“The White House’s digital team has been putting out some hilarious stuff,” the fourth user joked.

“Are we (taxpayers) paying for that crap??? Seriously? You. Really. Have. No. Shame,” one more user slammed.

“White House wants me to lock in. Guess I better get back to it and lock in,” one more user said. “Who is the author behind these cringe official White House accounts? #cringe #wtfamerica,” another one commented.
