LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Whoopi Goldberg recently donned her iconic habit to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the beloved sequel 'Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit'.

The celebration took place on 'The View', where Goldberg reunited with her former castmates, bringing a wave of nostalgia to fans.

Joining Goldberg were Kathy Najimy (Sister Mary Patrick), Wendy Makenna (Sister Mary Robert), and Sheryl Lee Ralph (Florence Watson). They were accompanied by music supervisor Marc Shaiman and music producer Mervyn Warren. The reunion was a heartfelt discussion about the film's enduring legacy and the bonds formed during production.

"I thought the kids were miraculous," Najimy reflected. "I felt like they were in our veins right away. We were all one huge family. They got the tone of it. They were so talented and gorgeous and smart and fun."

Several former child actors returned for the reunion, including Tanya Blount (Tanya), Ryan Toby (Ahmal), Monica Calhoun, David Kater, Frank Odell Howard, Dionna Nishelle, Jermaine Montell, Deondray Gossfield, Ashley Thompson, Deedee Magno Hall, and Alex Martin (Whoopi's real-life daughter). Each of the "kids" had a chance to share fond memories from the set, and some took the opportunity to express their gratitude to Goldberg for her kindness during production.

The reunion featured memorable performances of 'Oh Happy Day' led by Ahmal and 'Joyful, Joyful', performed with the LaGuardia High School choir, bringing the spirit of the movie back to life.

While some stars like Lauryn Hill, Jenifer Lewis, and Jennifer Love Hewitt couldn't attend, they sent heartfelt video messages. Hewitt, who was 13 when she made the movie, reminisced about working with Goldberg and hearing Hill sing every day.

"Working on 'Sister Act 2' is one of the greatest things that ever happened to me," Hewitt shared. "I was very young, a teenager. I got to work with the queen, Whoopi Goldberg. She was the kindest, coolest person to me ever."

Goldberg also teased the highly anticipated 'Sister Act 3', revealing that the script is nearly complete. While the cast is yet to be finalized, Goldberg has invited several famous faces, including Keke Palmer, Nicki Minaj, Jimmy Fallon, and even Pope Francis. She also extended invitations to Sheryl Lee Ralph and Dame Maggie Smith, hoping to bring back familiar faces for the new installment.

"It's still on the way! It's percolating," Goldberg told People, hinting at exciting developments for the franchise's future.
