'The View's Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin mock Trump's 'short-term memory' over Fox News interview
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin discussed former President Donald Trump's Fox News interview following his hush money trial conviction, on the Monday, June 3 episode of 'The View.'
Goldberg began the segment by calling Trump a "big baby" and claiming that many Republicans were rallying behind him following his 34 felony convictions.
"Yesterday, he sat with his support group on Fox News to whine about the boo-hoo of it all," she said, before playing clips from the 'Fox & Friends' episode.
Whoopi Goldberg reacts to Trump's remarks on Hillary Clinton
During his June 2 interview on Fox, Trump denied ever calling for the arrest of his 2016 rival presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, and blamed his supporters for coming up with the slogan, "Lock her up."
"Hillary Clinton - I didn't say 'lock her up,' but the people always said, 'Lock her up, lock her up.' Then we won, and I said pretty openly, 'Alright, come on, just relax, let go - we have got to make our country great,'" he said.
Responding to the claim, Goldberg said at the Hot Topics table, "For someone who brags about passing a cognitive exam, he really has a short-term memory."
Clips showing Trump saying the very thing that he denied played right after, and the co-host shook her head in ridicule.
"For me, I just have to say, they (Republicans) keep talking about the forefathers. Let's be clear, the forefathers didn't want someone above the law, that's why they didn't want a king. That's why they came and made a democracy... This is not a joke, we didn't want a dictatorship," she later added.

Sunny Hostin's take on Trump claiming to be ready to face prison
When asked about the possibility of him being imprisoned or facing house arrest, Trump had claimed during the interview, "I am okay with it," and later added, "I don't think the public would stand it, you know?"
Referring to those comments, Hostin stated on Monday, "Generally, when criminals are put away, the country is safer... But when you have a defendant saying something like, 'The people wouldn't stand for it,' that's what happened on January 6. And so be very clear-headed. Listen to what he (Trump) is saying the first time."
"That (Trump's comments) was a dog whistle to his followers, 'Put me in jail, and y'all show up,'" she insisted.
Goldberg asked if it was illegal, to which Hostin quipped, "Inciting violence should be illegal, but we're still working on it."
