NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Host Whoopi Goldberg hit back at former president Donald Trump for sharing a meme about her leaving the country on the Monday, May 13, 2024, episode of 'The View'.

The presumptive GOP presidential nominee took to his social media platform Truth Social on Sunday, May 12, to share a post showing a distorted image of the comedian, mocking her for suggesting that she would be leaving the country if Trump won the election in 2016.

"He saw a meme, You-know-who saw a meme that said I was leaving the country," she explained, not mentioning Trump's name as is usual for her on the show.

"Look, I’m not going anywhere. OK? And it’s not for the reason, you little snowflake, it’s not for the reason you think," she addressed Trump, looking directly into the camera.

"He said nobody wanted me. Honey, well you know what? It wouldn't matter if no one here wanted me ... But I know where I am going to be because I have got a contract. So I am going to be here where I want to be for the next couple of years," she continued as her co-hosts and the audience expressed their support for her.
