SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA: Will Smith has spoken out about online posts that linked him to disgraced rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs and his alleged crimes.

The music mogul, who was previously also known as Puff Daddy, was arrested on September 16. He is currently incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy.

Smith, who called out the confusion created by online memes, firmly declared that he had "been nowhere near that man" and that all the allegations were false, as per People

Will Smith says claims about his link to Sean 'Diddy' Combs are 'nothing but lies'

Being two of the biggest stars in Hollywood, there is no way that Will Smith and Sean "Diddy" Combs' paths have never crossed. However, the Oscar winner firmly denies that he had more to do with the founder of Bad Boy Records.

During his performance at the Observatory North Park Theater in San Diego on Thursday, December 12, the 'Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' star cleared the air on claims linking him to Diddy.

Addressing the crowd, Smith said, "The world we're in right now, it's really hard for y'all to discern what's real and what's true, you know?"

In the clip obtained by TMZ, he further shared, "I've been seeing y'all's memes and stuff ... Some of that stuff's funny. ... I haven't addressed any of this publicly, but I just wanna say this very clearly: I don't have s*** to do with Puffy, so y'all can stop all them memes."

He added as an afterthought, "You can stop all of that bulls***," before doubling down, "I ain't been nowhere near that man, ain't did none of that stupid s***."

"So whenever y'all hear it, if somebody say that, it's a damn lie," Smith asserted, before joking, "I don't even like baby oil," referring to Homeland Security confiscating thousands of bottles of baby oil from Diddy's Los Angeles and Florida mansions during their raids in March.

The 'Bad Boys' actor, who has been photographed with Diddy multiple times during various industry parties, also expressed, "But, no, having said that publicly. Y'all the first time. I usually don't respond to dumbass stuff because it's so many things."

"People say so much stuff. But that one — your memes was doin' too much. Y'all was having me mad," Smith added.

Internet is skeptical about Will Smith's claims regarding his links to Sean 'Diddy' Combs

One commented, "A quick and simple Google image search indicates otherwise," and another remarked, "He says he 'ain't been nowhere near that man,' but there are multiple pictures of him literally standing right next to Diddy. 🙄."

"Of course he wouldn't say otherwise. I would expect no less from an individual who gets up from his table chair at the Oscars in live TV broadcast, walks onstage and slaps its star host in the face," added a person, while someone else expressed, "There is a whole lot of 'Diddy who?' Going on in Hollywood."

"Mmmhmm. Is this a surprise? Absolutely not. Stop playing with our intelligence. Next…," stated another disgruntled netizen.

An individual noted, "Has never been around that man but yet theirs a picture of them. All these actors want crimes off of them so they throw diddy under the bus. He's a smart man I'm sure he has evidence agsinist many ppl."

"I’m pretty sure I saw pictures of him and Jada at one of his parties and took the picture with Diddy," claimed one more, while one his fans wrote, "I agree 100%. Once the trial begins a lot of questions will be answered. True evidence will come out and not just speculation."
