WASHINGTON, DC: Former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene launched a blistering broadside against the American political establishment on Saturday, May 9, declaring that both the Republican and Democratic parties have "failed miserably" and are no longer fit to lead the nation.

In a defiant statement that marks a significant break from standard partisan rhetoric, Greene argued that the United States has devolved into a "sad state" where policy and accomplishments have been abandoned in favor of "team sports" and manipulative redistricting strategies.

The Georgia congresswoman’s remarks come at a time of mounting public frustration with a federal government she describes as being "captured by rich donors, corporate lobbies, and foreign interests."

Greene signaled that the traditional two-party system has become a "political industrial complex" that prioritizes partisan survival over the tangible needs of the American people, leaving millions of voters with nowhere to turn.

Redistricting replaced policy as main strategy

Greene centered much of her critique on the escalating battle over district lines, arguing that both parties are using redistricting as their primary strategy to win the upcoming midterms.

Instead of presenting strong cases based on their records, she alleged that party leaders are spending fortunes to fight in state legislatures and courts to redraw lines based strictly on historical voting patterns in counties and neighborhoods.

According to Greene, this focus on "team jerseys" over "good policies" has stripped the political process of anything tangible for the average citizen.

She noted that this tactical warfare has turned governance into nothing more than a competitive sport where the American people are the ultimate losers.

Debt and foreign wars signify failure

Beyond the mechanics of elections, Greene pointed to specific policy failures that she claims both parties share equally. She highlighted the staggering national debt, which she noted is now approaching $40 trillion, as evidence of a systemic refusal to exercise fiscal responsibility.

Furthermore, she slammed the bipartisan consensus on international intervention, accusing both sides of the aisle of waging and funding foreign wars that "have nothing to do with America."

Greene’s indictment extended to the internal culture of Washington, which she described as being "filled with corruption and scandals" that have left a vast majority of Americans fully disgusted with the political process.

Breaking the two party system

The most striking element of Greene’s declaration was her call for a fundamental restructuring of American representation. She argued that there has "never been a better time than now" to develop support for independent candidates who refuse to be ensnared by the current establishment.

These new candidates, she suggested, should run on issues rather than party affiliation and remain "truly for Americans" rather than foreign donors.

While acknowledging that dismantling the current structure is "no easy task," Greene insisted that the country has reached a point where there is "no other option but to break the two-party system and build something new."
