TRENTON, NEW JERSEY: Coldplay fan Grace Springer, who unintentionally exposed former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron’s alleged affair with the company's HR chief Kristin Cabot, recently opened up about how much money she made from the now-viral kiss cam video.

During a Coldplay concert at Gillette Stadium in Boston, Massachusetts, on July 16, the jumbotron's "kiss cam" unexpectedly showed Byron and Cabot in a seemingly intimate moment, which soon became awkward when they tried to hide from the camera, sparking speculation about an affair.

Coldplay fan Grace Springer reveals she made no money from viral kiss cam video

Grace Springer revealed to hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary of the UK’s 'This Morning' during the Monday, July 21 episode, "I’ve actually made no money from the video itself or the views. It’s not monetized."

She further explained how she managed to capture such a life-changing moment, causing all that Coldplay concert drama, and said that she "was hoping to see [herself] on the big screen" because she loves "to capture moments."

Springer added, "In the moment when I filmed it, I didn’t think much of it, but of course, everyone was kind of chattering. There was over 50,000 people at the concert, so it was a hot topic", while referencing the band’s Spheres World Tour show at Gillette Stadium.

"But it wasn’t until after the concert, where I was debriefing with my friends and I said ‘Let’s review the footage, let’s see if it really looks that bad.’ And I think it does," she mentioned about the Byron-Cabot cheating scandal.

Furthermore, Springer discussed whether she has any regrets posting the video online, as it garnered more than 122 million views within a week. Some netizens even checked if 'The Simpsons' had predicted the Coldplay viral kiss cam moment.

"I definitely feel for Andy’s wife Megan, his family and everyone else who has been hurt in the process. As I said, there was over 50,000 people and I’m not the only one that caught it on camera, so if it wasn’t me who uploaded it, I’m sure someone else would have," she said.

Moreover, Springer told The Sun last week, "I had no idea who the couple was. Just thought I caught an interesting reaction to the kiss cam and decided to post it. A part of me feels bad for turning these people’s lives upside down, but play stupid games… win stupid prizes."

She added, "I hope their partners can heal from this and get a second chance at the happiness they deserve with their future still in front of them. I hope, for them, my video was a blessing in disguise."

Expert says Andy Byron could face Jeff Bezos-style payout if there is divorce

Andy Byron's on-camera moment with Kristin Cabot might cost him not just his marriage, but possibly a fortune that rivals Jeff Bezos’ $38 billion divorce settlement

Following the incident, Byron was put on leave by Astronomer, and a formal investigation was launched into the incident. On July 19, the tech firm confirmed that Byron had handed in his resignation and that the board of directors had accepted it.

In a statement, the company mentioned, "As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met. Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted."

Some experts informed the New York Post that he might’ve chosen resignation over getting fired because if the board had removed him, he could’ve walked away with zilch.

Meanwhile, according to the outlet's legal experts, Byron’s estimated net worth, which is somewhere between $20 million and $70 million, could be up for grabs if there is a divorce.

Under Massachusetts law, where the couple lives, long-term spouses typically split assets 50/50. So in this case, he will have to give half of his assets to his wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron.

Interestingly, Megan also deleted her social media accounts and removed “Byron” from all her profiles after the video went viral. The couple reportedly share two children.

Moreover, celebrity divorce attorney Nancy Chemtob told the New York Post, "It’s obviously a long-term relationship," and if Byron’s worth is at the higher end, "he would have to shell out a massive amount."

Another expert added that the payout could reach the same league as Bezos' split from MacKenzie Scott, where the Amazon founder had to give a jaw-dropping $38 billion.
