LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: WWE made its Netflix debut with 'Monday Night Raw' on Monday, January 6, and even though it was a big hit, not everyone was met with a warm welcome.

Wrestling icon Hulk Hogan made a surprise appearance to promote his beer brand’s partnership with WWE. However, his speech in front of an American flag largely attracted boos from the crowd at the Intuit Dome.

Crowd boos during WWE legend Hulk Hogan's speech

During his speech, Hulk Hogan said, "In the past, I’ve had a whole bunch of partners down the line. I had incredible partners, like the Macho Man Randy Savage. I’ve had giant-sized partners like Andre the Giant."

"But the greatest partner the WWE has ever had, is the fact that tonight, we’re making history, and the WWE has tag teamed up with Netflix, the greatest tag team partner of all time," the WWE icon continued.

As the camera panned across the audience, thumbs were seen pointed down as the booing intensified throughout his product plug, Deadline reported.

An audience member, who shared a video of Hogan’s entrance on X (formerly Twitter), wrote, "Watching Hulk Hogan get annihilated with boos while trying to sell his ripoff Bud Light beer was effing IN-CREDIBLE. And I grew up a Hulkamaniac."

Hogan's appearance comes after he spoke at Donald Trump‘s Madison Square Garden rally in October 2024. He has since said he hopes to join the president-elect’s HHS secretary pick Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The 'Monday Night Raw' Netflix debut also featured appearances from Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and John Cena in addition to a star-studded audience.

Hulk Hogan imitates Donald Trump's dance on live TV

The WWE Hall of Famer appeared on 'The Laura Ingraham Show' in November 2024, where he imitated Donald Trump’s viral dance moves, reported OK Magazine.

During the interview, host Laura Ingraham asked Hogan, "Can you do the Trump dance for us, please? I want to see you do it." Without hesitation, he jumped right in.

He said, "Got to put the lips up though," as he gave Ingraham a quick lesson on how to dance properly. The host replied, "You got it. You got the gun still Hulk? I love it."

Hogan, an avid Trump supporter, had earlier praised the president-elect and even called his followers "Trumpamaniacs" at a rally in New York City in 2024.

The former world champion also flexed his muscles and ripped off his shirt on stage to pump up the crowd at the time, per the outlet.

He said during the speech, "But we all know Trump is the only man that can fix this country today, and with Trump as our commander in chief, peace through strength will fix all of our problems in the Middle East."

Hulk Hogan mocked as the crowd boos WWE legend

Several internet users mocked WWE icon Hulk Hogan after the crowd booed him during his speech at 'Monday Night Raw' Netflix debut.

One social media user wrote on X, "I called that. Total miscalculation by WWE. People hate Hogan at this point. It's more the racism than the Trump stuff... The reaction was appropriate," while one added, "Loved that even the announcers were more excited for Jimmy Hart than Hogan."

One person stated, "The guy can barely walk ... time they stopped having him on air," whereas another remarked, "I think you can tell that the producers were telling Hogan to rush the promo when you look behind him, lmao."

One individual noted, "WWE gonna pipe in so many fake cheering over every appearance," while another commented, "I know it's only Week 1, but that's made my year! That was GLORIOUS."
