LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Taylor Swift has garnered admiration not only from her dedicated fanbase but also from fellow celebrities.

Dakota Johnson, who is gearing up for the release of her movie, 'Madame Web', recently praised the singer by calling her "the most powerful person in America" on 'Saturday Night Live'.

Dakota Johnson takes a subtle dig at Donald Trump as she dubs Taylor Swift the 'most powerful person in America' during 'SNL' monologue

Johnson acknowledged Swift's widespread success in America and beyond during her recent 'Saturday Night Live' appearance alongside the night's musical guest, Justin Timberlake, as per PEOPLE Magazine

The actress shared a photo of her from the 'SNL' 40th-anniversary show, held in 2015, noting, "The last time I hosted was right after the SNL 40th. I was actually in the audience for that special."

Pointing to the photo, she highlighted the notable individuals present, including Sarah Palin, George Lucas, and Steven Spielberg, and humorously remarked, "And look who's sitting right behind me," as the camera zoomed in to reveal Donald Trump.

Johnson then remarked, "Crazy to be standing so close to someone who would become the most powerful person in America," as the camera zoomed in on Swift, who was sitting in front of the 'Persuasion' actress.

During her monologue, Johnson also recalled working with Timberlake, saying, "Tonight is also a sort of reunion for me and Justin Timberlake. We were actually in a movie together called 'The Social Network'."

This led the musician to join her on stage as the actress quipped, "What are you doing up here, are you lost?"

Timberlake noted that he supposed it was his cue after hearing his voice and offered to help with any sketches after mentioning that he has already hosted 'SNL'. Johnson was quick to remind him that it was "10 years ago."

Internet has differing opinions over Dakota Johnson hailing Taylor Swift as the 'most powerful person in America'

After Johnson's 'SNL' monologue made it to the internet, netizens seemed to have different thoughts regarding the star's admiration for Swift. 



 

One wrote, "Dakota has a solid point, tho! She is!" and another expressed, "She's not wrong tho currently Tylor swift is the most powerful personality in the usa."

A person remarked, "Y’all hype her too much She’s not even that girl," while someone else said, "Most powerful person? This Must be a joke."
