How did Austin Butler get a bald cap for 'Dune: Part Two'?
The 32-year-old actor talked on 'Jimmey Kimmel Live!' and was joined by his co-stars Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, and Florence Pugh on the late-night show.
They discussed the highly-anticipated sequel which is set to hit theaters in October 2024. Host Jimmy Kimmel, 56, asked Butler about his “no-brow look” for the film and the actor revealed that he opted for a bald cap instead of shaving his eyebrows, People reports.
“I was going to a job right after and with this director named Jeff Nichols,” Butler explained.
“And Jeff said, ‘They can afford to make you bald cap but we can’t really make you hair. So can you just get a bald cap?’ So that’s what I did.”
Butler replied after Kimmel asked him if he had shaved the eyebrows for the movie and if he missed them.

Butler also joked, “It was so liberating not having eyebrows," when Kimmel, 56, asked him hes missed his eyebrows while making the movie.
"You don’t realize how much they weigh you down,” he added with a laugh, People noted, adding, “I was just streamlined."
He praised the hair and makeup team for their amazing work, and said that it took three to five hours a day to get into the bald cap.
"It was three hours a day and that was when they brought it down,” adding that it was “about five hours.”
Kimmel quipped that he would have just glued on some fake eyebrows, and suggested a “big Eugene Levy style eyebrow, like Bird from Sesame Street.”
Austin Butler’s inspiration for his 'Dune: Part Two' character
Butler also spoke about his role as Feyd-Rautha, the nephew of the evil Baron Harkonnen and the rival of the hero Paul Atreides, played by Chalamet.
He said that he drew inspiration from “animals, like a snake and a shark” to portray the character, who he described as “ugly and bold” on Happy Sad Confused podcast.
He also teased that fans can expect a lot of action and drama from the second part of the adaptation of Frank Herbert’s classic novel which follows the battle for the desert planet Arrakis and its precious spice.
He said that he made a sacrifice for the film and that he hoped people would go and see it. “So what you’re saying is you made a sacrifice for this film and it would be nice if people went and saw it,” Kimmel said, to which Butler replied, “That’s exactly what.”
