DAYTON, OHIO: During a rally in Ohio on Saturday, former President Donald Trump accused President Joe Biden of sabotaging his teleprompter.

According to DailyMail, Trump was trying to rally support for his presidential rematch with Biden and endorsed his preferred Senate candidate from the state, Bernie Moreno, at an airfield outside of Dayton.

The 35-mile-per-hour wind gusts made it quite the hassle for the 2024 Republican presidential nominee as he repeatedly struggled to read from the teleprompters, visibly moving around.

The 77-year-old MAGA strongman became increasingly frustrated and joked that his rival must have set up the equipment, saying, “I think Joe Biden put them in!”

At one point, Trump even remarked, "Don't pay these suckers!" to those who arranged the teleprompters.

What did Trump say during his campaign event in the Buckeye State?

During Saturday’s rally, former President Donald Trump boasted to the crowd in attendance about how nice it was “to have a president who doesn't need a teleprompter” but still committed clear speaking errors and gaffes throughout his time onstage on a windy afternoon.

Trump also struggled with pronouncing the name of the rock band, ‘The Rolling Stones,’ whose music his campaign team uses during rallies, calling them 'The Rolling Storns.'

Trump's mispronunciation did not stop there, for during his retelling of his infamous 'The Snake' story, he also bungled the word 'bite.'

Additionally, Trump was criticized for mispronouncing Ohio GOP Senate candidate Bernardo ‘Bernie’ Moreno's name, as he pronounced it more like “Marino.”

Moreno, an affluent Cleveland businessman, was once a Trump critic and had supported Marco Rubio for president in the 2016 Republican primary.

Moreno even tweeted once that listening to Trump was “like watching a car accident that makes you sick, but you can stop looking.”

However, in 2021, NBC News reported on an email conversation around the time of Trump's first presidential run in which Moreno referred to Trump as a “lunatic” and a “maniac.”

Interestingly, on Saturday, Moreno praised Trump as a “great American” and slammed those in his party who have been critical of the former president, after he became his party's presumptive presidential nominee for a third consecutive general election, earlier this week.

“I am so sick and tired of Republicans that say, I support President Trump´s policies but I don't like the man,” Moreno declared as he joined him onstage.

Trump again downplayed recent allegations against Moreno, equating them to attacks he has endured in the past, including criminal charges.

The former POTUS has been charged in four separate cases, ranging from his handling of classified documents to his efforts to interfere with the outcome of the 2020 election.

“He's getting some very tough Democrat fake treatment right now,” Trump remarked. “And we're not going to stand for it.”

During his speech, Trump also accused Biden of endangering the future of Social Security. This comes after he had to clarify his comments from an earlier interview where he seemed to suggest that he was considering cuts to the program.

He said that if Biden were to win a second term, "your Social Security is going to be gone," even though Biden has promised to uphold and expand the program in light of the impending fiscal deficit.

“You will not be able to have Social Security with this guy in office because he´s destroying the economics of our country. And that includes Medicare, by the way, and American seniors are going to be in big trouble,” Trump added.

“I made a promise that I will always keep Social Security, Medicare. We always will keep it. We never will cut it,” he vowed onstage.

With just eight months until the election, former President Donald Trump's campaign is struggling to match the massive fundraising leg-up that his Democratic opponent, incumbent President Joe Biden is enjoying at the moment.

The Republican National Committee reports holding just $40 million in the bank as compared to the $130 million held by Democratic operations last month.

This funding gap is only growing wider, with Democrats opening their wallets in support of Biden's campaign to retain the White House.

Notably, Democrats raised over $10 million in the 24 hours following the State of the Union address last week, a figure that far surpasses Trump's biggest fundraising day, which raised $4.2 million following the release of his mugshot in the Georgia election fraud case.

Internet slammed Donald Trump for his gaffes onstage

People on X shredded the MAGA figurehead for committing the same verbal slip-ups he accuses his opponent of making every time he tries to deliver a coherent speech.

One X user remarked: “I thought HE didn't USE teleprompters?? *sarcastic voice*."

Another user said: "PERFECT... So now the Democrats need to throw back trumps own stupid words at him & the cult... MAGANOMICS, for the next 7 months! PresBiden Nov 24."

Another user wrote: "Yeah the wind is totally the teleprompter people's fault. Just reminds me when he attacked Obama for using a prompter and said any president who used one is incompetent."

One user claimed: "He's been giving the same damned speech for years, but he still needs a teleprompter. "

Another X user remarked: "These are times when you really get to see the incoherency of his dementia. Off script means rambling nonsense. #DementiaDon"

Finally, this user tweeted: "When you’ve lost the ability to read a teleprompter, you shouldn’t be running for President."
