NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: As the 2024 presidential election draws near, political allegiances are solidifying, and voices across the spectrum are making their intentions known.

So, for conservative commentator Ben Shapiro, his stance is unequivocal, "As most of you know, I'm voting for Donald Trump in November. I've said so many, many times at this point".

Ben Shapiro voices full support for Donald Trump

However, Shapiro's commitment to the Trump cause extended beyond just casting his ballot.

In a recent announcement, he revealed, "As you know, I didn't support Trump in the primaries," he explains. "I don't endorse candidates in Republican primaries," he added.

His preference during the primary season was clear: "I told you I would have voted for Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida if given the choice."

Yet, the reality facing voters now is different. "Ron DeSantis isn't the nominee," the host acknowledged.

"Donald Trump is the nominee." And in his view, the alternative is untenable: "He's facing Joe Biden, who is the worst president of my lifetime."

This stark contrast has solidified Shapiro's support for Trump. "Because Donald Trump is the nominee against Joe Biden, I won't just vote for him," he declared. "I will walk over broken glass to vote for him."

But his commitment doesn't stop at the ballot box. "Actually, I will go into my own pocket to support him, which is what I'm doing," he revealed.

Shapiro also emerged as a vocal critic of the Biden administration, contrasting it with the tenure of former President Donald Trump.

Taking to his X account, he posted, "I’m co-hosting a fundraiser for Donald Trump next week. Here’s why".

"America was better off under Donald Trump than it is under Joe Biden," Shapiro asserted, and added, "At home, America was safer and more prosperous."

"When Donald Trump was President, we did not have an open border," he pointed out, continuing, "We were not flooding our country with at least 7 million illegal immigrants, overwhelming our cities, leaving our country wide open to the plague of Chinese and Mexican drug cartel-backed fentanyl poisoning."

"When Donald Trump was President, we didn't have a president who tried to use the Occupational Safety and Health Administration to force 80 million Americans to take a vaccine or lose their jobs," he stated, adding, "And my company didn't have to sue to stop it."

"When Donald Trump was President, we didn't have 40-year highs in inflation and decreasing real wages," he further noted.

"When Donald Trump was President, we didn't have a federal attempt to teach children that boys can be girls and vice versa," he said, adding, "Or to force taxpayers to subsidize abortion or to target religious institutions for upholding traditional Judeo-Christian values."

"When Donald Trump was President, we didn't have an administration hellbent on stymieing the police in their attempts to fight crime," he argued and said, "Or an administration that values diversity and inclusion and wokeness above military readiness, all in the name of equity."

Furthermore, Shapiro highlights concerns about the economic impact of the Biden administration's spending programs.

"When Donald Trump was President, we did not have American businesses preparing to have their incomes robbed from them in the name of the biggest spending programs in American history," he lamented.

Internet reacts strongly to Ben Shapiro's support for Donald Trump

In response to Shapiro's statements, users of the internet community resorted to social media, voicing their viewpoints.

One user wrote, "One of the main reasons why people no longer take you seriously."

"Ugh! Seriously? So damn disappointing," said another user.

"You are raising money for someone found liable of sexual assault and fraud (multiple times) in court. Embarrassing," one viewer observed.

"Of course you are. Profits over principles, amirite? Con Inc has “con” in the name for a reason," another viewer slammed.

"Because you are a sellout fraud?" said one more person.

"Ben went from Never Trump to Trump sycophant in one cycle. Wild!" one user commented.
