Zach Bryan reflects on life-altering decision to quit touring

In a heartfelt Instagram post on Thursday, November 7, 28-year-old Zach Bryan recounted the pivotal moment that guided his decision. It was during a late-night visit to his mother's gravesite in Oklahoma that Bryan experienced an epiphany, shaping his future direction, Marca reports.

He wrote, "After not being home for a year and a half, I drove out to my mother's gravestone... and I came to realize, just like in the past, that she never would call me again."

Bryan revealed his intention to pursue a master's degree in Paris, indicating a transition away from his intense touring schedule.

"Told her I quit touring because I got accepted to get my master's in Paris next year... Told her about porch swinging with my beautiful sister, all the calluses on my fingertips, every tear shed," Bryan further wrote.

The moving visit inspired Bryan to finish a new song, 'High Road', which he released the next day. In the track, he sings candidly, "Everyone is tellin' me that I need help or therapy / But all I need is to be left alone."

Brianna LaPaglia accuses Zach Bryan of emotional abuse

Brianna LaPaglia's disclosures on the 'BFFs' podcast depicted a disturbing account of her relationship with Zach Bryan.

She alleged that the Grammy-winning singer put her through a relentless cycle of emotional abuse and offered her $12 million to keep quiet about their relationship, an offer she stated she declined.

"He didn't like that I wore a sheer dress to the Golden Globes," LaPaglia claimed, adding that Bryan also "freaked the f**k out" when she sang a Morgan Wallen song in his home.

She portrayed Bryan as a person who emotionally "broke" her and instilled fear in her throughout their relationship.

Bryan has not responded directly to the allegations, instead, he has shared a mysterious quote from Jack Kerouac's 'On the Road', "Everybody in the world wants an explanation for your acts and for your very being."

Although he has announced his intention to stop touring, Bryan intends to fulfill his remaining commitments. His Quittin' Time tour, which started in March, will wrap up in December, with extra performances planned in London for June 2025.

Bryan expressed his enthusiasm for the concluding segment of the tour, stating, "I've never been more excited to finish a run up... see you on the road."

Bryan's recent announcement arrives amidst escalating scrutiny of his personal life. Known for his heartfelt and emotive songwriting, the accolades of Bryan's career are presently being overshadowed by the allegations against him.

As he moves on from touring and starts a new phase, the dual nature of his public image—as a cherished musician and a contentious figure—will surely continue to be a point of interest for both admirers and detractors.
