LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Zachary Levi has announced he is about to embark on a brand-new role of fatherhood.
The 44-year-old actor revealed on Instagram on Friday, December 6, that his girlfriend Maggie Keating is pregnant with their first child.

In an emotional post, Zachary Levi expressed, “I’ve wanted to be a dad since I was literally a kid."
“I’ve always felt that call on my life... A strange feeling of incompleteness by not having that level of love and responsibility in my journey,” he wrote.
The actor shared his heartfelt reflections on how the idea of becoming a parent has shaped his life.
While excited about the journey ahead, Levi admitted that he needed time to prepare himself for this significant step.

The 'Shazam' actor explained that the past year has been pivotal in his readiness to embrace fatherhood.
“Last November, I started to make some shifts in my life... Prioritizing my own health physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually,” he wrote.
Through this transformation, Levi met Keating, whom he described as “a brilliant, honest, grounded, and deep love.”

He credited their shared journey of self-discovery and personal growth for laying the foundation for this new chapter in their lives.

The couple is keeping the baby’s gender a surprise until birth, with Levi jokingly inviting fans to suggest names.
“Keep ‘em original, but not TOO original,” he quipped, adding a playful nod to his own theater-nerd roots.
“We can’t wait for y’all to meet our little bambino,” Levi added, expressing his joy and anticipation for the journey ahead.

The announcement comes amid some buzz in Zachary Levi’s professional life.
Earlier this week, his former Broadway co-star Laura Benanti criticized him in a candid interview.
She claimed that the actor used the death of Broadway co-star Gavin Creel for his "political agenda."

In September, Creel died of a rare form of cancer. However, Levi who is known for his anti-vax remarks took to social media to claim that Creel died as a result of the Covid-19 vaccine.
"Everyone was like, "He's so great!" And I was like, "No, he's not,"' Benanti said of Levi during her appearance on an episode of 'That's A Gay Ass Podcast' on Wednesday, December 4.
“He’s sucking up all the f*****g energy in this room,” she added, according to Daily Mail.
