SOUTH MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN: The mother of Sade Robinson, whose life was tragically cut short after a date with Maxwell Anderson on April 2, has drawn eerie comparisons to her daughter's suspected killer to notorious serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.
Allegedly dismembered by Anderson, law enforcement officials are still piecing together Robinson's remains, which have been washing up along the shores of Lake Michigan, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office.
Insights from law enforcement on Sade Robinson's murder
The suspect's actions have prompted Robinson's mother, Sheena Scrabrough, to draw parallels to Jeffrey Dahmer, famously known as the "Milwaukee Monster."
"This isn't normal. This is a 2024 Jeffrey Dahmer," she stated on Crime Stories with Nancy Grace.
While some have compared Anderson's actions to Dahmer's, a lead detective from Dahmer's case expressed doubts about Anderson's intelligence and charm.
Retired Milwaukee police Lt Steve Spingola, who worked on Dahmer's investigation, highlighted the differences in forensic evidence available today compared to Dahmer's time, indicating a potentially different investigative outcome.
"There’s a treasure trove of file of forensic evidence that’s left at his (Anderson’s) house. And on video cameras, and with witnesses, it’s a little bit different than with Dahmer," said Spingola. "Remember back in 1991, we didn’t have any of that," reported Fox.
Sade Robinson's parents' plea for justice
Anderson's arrest on April 4, just days after Robinson's disappearance, came after a passerby discovered a severed leg in Warnimont Park along Lake Michigan. He now faces charges including first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, and arson, and remains in Milwaukee County Jail on a $5 million bail.
"At this point in time, we don’t believe there are any other victims out there," Milwaukee County Sheriff Denita Ball stated.
The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward. Meanwhile, Robinson's dreams of pursuing a career in the US Air Force have been tragically cut short, leaving her family and community devastated.
