NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson is perfectly content flying solo these days. The rapper revealed intimate details of his personal life in a candid conversation during the September 4, Wednesday, episode of 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert'.

The 49-year-old rap mogul opened up about his decision to embrace celibacy and explained why, after seven relationships, the concept of marriage just doesn’t resonate with him.

50 Cent talks celibacy and marriage

"50 Cent, are you celibate?" asked Stephen Colbert.

"Listen, when you calm down you can focus. All right?" 50 Cent said, as per People.

"It's been good. I've been good to me," he added, stressing his simple yet powerful mantra as he leads life on his own terms, sans the entanglements of romantic relationships.

Curious about this perspective, Colbert, 60, probed the 'In da Club' artist about why he would continue amassing wealth without someone special to share it with.

50 Cent, however, had a clear response: "[Money is] when things start getting complicated, things start getting confusing, ‘cause people come in for different reasons."

For him, it’s not just about having the wealth; it’s about avoiding the inevitable complications that come with mixing love and money.

The Grammy winner further elaborated on his stance by describing his approach to dating.

"If you go on a date but you have no interest in anything, I can see you now. I said, ‘God damn, girl, you fine, but you ain’t got nothing going on."

He noted how romantic desire often clouds judgment for "most men", which is why he prefers to keep his distance.

50 Cent is a father of two. He welcomed his first child, son Marquise Jackson, with Shaniqua Tompkins in 1996. His second son, Sire Jackson, was born in 2012 to his then-partner Daphne Joy.

When Colbert asked the father of two if he’d ever been married, 50 Cent’s position was clear and unflinching.

"I am safe. I’m not a happy hostage. I’m here. I’m free," he laughed.

"I made some mistakes, just not that one."

50 Cent focusing his energy on fitness

Without a romantic partner in his life currently, 50 Cent is channeling his energy into fitness, revealing that he spends his days in the gym and can "get to about 105 pounds on dumbbells".

His discipline and focus extend beyond his music career, shaping a life that prioritizes personal growth and health.

Colbert, painting a light-hearted picture of 50 Cent's supposed evening routine, quipped about the rapper "just going home, watching 'Wheel of Fortune' on TiVo, having a warm milk and going to bed, putting on your night shirt and cap".

50 Cent, unfazed, playfully shot back, "You make it sound like the worst thing ever."

Despite the light jabs, Colbert admitted his deeper wish to see 50 Cent find love, to which the rapper responded with his signature confidence.

"I want someone I can love in my life too, just not right now. I’m fine," the 'Candy Shop' artist declared.
