NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Rapper and singer Afroman released a reprised version of his 2000 hit song 'Because I Got High' poking fun at Hunter Biden.

The new song, titled 'Hunter Got High' was first shared on X by Baste Records, along with a link to the full video on YouTube, the New York Post reports. Founded by Matthew Azrieli, the company claims to be a “harbinger of the counter culture to cancel culture.”

According to the website of Baste Records, it aims to stand for the freedom of speech and thought in what it believes to be a predominantly “woke” mainstream music industry.

The music video of 'Hunter Got High'

The song begins with Afroman and an actor portraying Hunter Biden pulling up in the back of a black SUV while having a smoke, the rapper singing, "Hey Hunter! Roll another one of those congressional blunts, brotha. He was gonna get his laptop fixed, but Hunter got high."

"He shoulda let Hillary bleach the whole hard drive. But Hunter got high, Hunter got high, Hunter got high,” he went along with the actor portraying Hunter, as a white-haired man in a mask portraying President Joe Biden joined the duo.

Apart from Hunter Biden's laptop, the song also chided the alleged influence peddling of the first family, as the Secret Service confirmed that cocaine was found at the White House last summer and subsequently closed that probe without naming a culprit, stated the Post.

"He thought he had a secret stash, but Hunter got high. The White House got shut down, and we all know why. Hunter got high, Hunter got high, Hunter got high,” went a section of the lyrics.

The rapper also made a mockery of Hunter Biden's art career, which had come under the scrutiny of House GOP, who raised conflict of interest concerns between wealthy buyers and the White House.

The song rolled with lines such as, "Biden never use to start with B-U-Y. Till Hunter got high, Hunter got high, Hunter got high,” and "Ukraine wasn’t part of the plan, till Hunter got high China wasn’t that big a fan, till Hunter got high. He wasn’t gonna split it all, with the old big guy. But Hunter got high, Hunter got high, Hunter got high."

Internet reacts to Afroman's new song

Netizens were all praises for the rapper and mocked Hunter Biden while commenting about the new song online, as the following examples demonstrate.

"Now this is art! Not like those payoff paintings," commented a reader on the New York Post website.

"Thank God we still have intelligent rappers on this planet. Afroman is spitting facts!" exclaimed another on YouTube.

"THE REMIX WE NEEDED IN 2024," stated a third.

"Not all heros wear capes, some have Afros," quipped a fourth.

"This needs to go viral. Hysterical," opinionated a fifth.
