'He is worst': Internet mocks Joe Biden after poll indicates he is the least popular president in 70 years

WASHINGTON, DC: A new survey puts Joe Biden's chances of winning reelection in jeopardy since it shows that he is the least popular president in the last 70 years at this time in his term, even below Jimmy Carter and Richard Nixon, according to the New York Post.

In a poll released on Friday, April 26, the Gallup Poll reported that Biden had a 38.7% job approval rating for the first quarter of 2024—three points less than the one-term George HW Bush had at the same stage in his reign.

The pollsters concluded, "With about six months remaining before Election Day, Biden stands in a weaker position than any prior incumbent."

On the other hand, at this stage in his presidency, former President Donald Trump, who is running against Biden for a second term in the White House, had an approval rating of 46.8%.

Moreover, the survey found that Eisenhower had the greatest rating at 73.2%, while even Nixon and Carter had higher ratings than Biden, at 53.7% and 47.7%, respectively.

Notably, since Dwight D Eisenhower's administration began in 1952, Gallup has conducted presidential popularity surveys, the results of which have been a reliable indicator of reelection success.

Every incumbent who has had an approval rating above 50% for the last seven decades has, on average, been reelected to a second term. The only candidate to defy the tendency was Barack Obama, who won in 2012 despite having just a mediocre 46% popularity rating six months before the general election.

Notably, with approval ratings that are among the lowest of the post-World War II era and in the bottom 12% of all presidential quarters dating back to 1945, Biden's performance this quarter ranks among the worst of all first-term presidents in Gallup's history.

Although Biden's popularity has reached a new low in Gallup polls this quarter, it has been stuck in the low 40s since the first year of his presidency due to a combination of factors including the catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan, escalating inflation, and an intensifying border crisis.

Internet mocks Biden after poll results

People on the internet trolled Joe Biden as a recent survey showed he has become the least popular president in the last 70 years.

A user wrote on X, "Joe Biden is the worst President in history with the worst approval rating in history with the worst inflation in history with the worst illegal border crossings in history with the most drug overdoses in history with the most wars in history," while one added, "He's also the first president that wasn't legally elected."

A person also stated, "Least popular president EVER," whereas one mentioned, "Imagine how much worse his poll numbers would be without state run media, academia and Hollywood, propping him up."

A person also wrote, "He got a 38% approval rating? Any number with two digits makes no sense. Sound be well below 10% to make sense."
